I've been thinking back to my last surgery, and I've noticed that as I was coming off of the sleeping gas (they tend to stay in the body for a while) I had weird and strange dreams as I slept. I had one where I was this big alien and I had to lead a resistant to the overlords of that planet. I think another one involved Star Gate or something. So for those of you who had surgery and know what I'm talking about, have yall ever had weird and strange dreams?

I dreamed that I was an Alien overlord crushing a puny rebellion.

I heard that happens all the time. People do it as a recreational drug, and some of the stories I heard were pretty scary, when the haluscinations won't stop for some time...

That's why I don't do Haluscinogens.

Another weird dream was when I was playing football with Elvis. After about one play he sat down on a toilet and died. So Frank Sinartra came to play! :D

Well it was for surgery... It was weird though, kinda fun. I missed Elvis.

What, no Reagan?

I was put out cold for my kidney stone surgery. I remember how to pronounce it but i don't know how it's spelled, what they used to knock me out, but it's pretty cool. I do know that as i was falling, i remember everything until i was out, and i even asked what it was. They laughed, and i said why, you don't think i'll remember what it is? They said no. I said try me, and they told me, snickering.
I woke up as they pulled the oxy mask off of my face, lying in a ready room, and i immediately said the name. I was at that point, of course, only with my wife and a nurse, so neither of them knew what i was talking about.
But, i had *ZERO* dream time. It was instantaneous to me. :(

What, no Reagan?

i've had morphine a couple of times in hospital... the first time i felt like i was flying and had an out-of-body experience looking down on myself as i was wheeled about the place, and the second time i don't remember much except being asleep (like, properly asleep) with my eyes wide open and being totally aware of everything around me... yet being asleep. was weird.
