Yadda yadda yadda, condemning terrorists, etc. etc. Standard stuff, no problem there.

But then he stepped over the line between understanding and ignorance.

He went on to say that "Islam is not a religion of peace", and "the goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen whether you like it or not, is world domination".

I've tried getting an e-mail or address or phone number, something that connects me closer to Robertson so that I may voice my opinion to him of him...which isn't a very nice opinion mind you.

It's so annoying. On one side I'm blaming radical Muslims for their radicalism, on the other side I have to blame ignorant Americans for their ignorance.

Already been posted.
Personally all the organized religions can shove it up their ass. Their bickering is humorous to me, like the Zerg and Protoss ripping each other apart while I build Battle Cruisers.

If people cannot prove themselves to be understanding with religion, I fail to see how the absence of religion is any better or worse.

I mean c'mon. Fiery pit of hell for all your damned eternity, how much more of a nudge do you need to stay on the good side of humanity? >_>

Eh? I know of one pretty popular religion where you can get out of hell by simply believing a few things.
Humanity sucks.

I don't care if their goal IS world domination. So is mine. So's everyones. Including Pat Robertson. Maybe that's why I can google a picture of his disgusting, scrunchy old fart face:

Looks like world domination plans to me. Luckily, while Islam may be older, Pat Robertson is much closer to death.

The goal of radical Islam is world domination. Meanwhile, mainstream Islam seems to, in general, be sitting around with their collective thumbs up their arses while the radicals hijack the religion to advance their jihadist agenda of conquest and/or destruction of the "infidel." I won't go so far as to say the goal of all Islamics is world domination, just the ones we hear from and about on a regular basis.

Yeah, and maybe you only hear about teh evil "jihadists" all the time because the biased media doesn't want to give the impression of a peaceful mainstream media?

Here's a thought. Peaceful, non-radical Islamic guy works a job, has a wife and kids, lives life.

President of Iran talks about how Israel should be cleansed by nuclear fire.

Which one makes the newspapers?

I understand your point, my point is that it is time for the Peaceful, non-radical Islamic guy works a job, has a wife and kids, lives life. to take a vocal stand against the jihadists. Here's a thought; President of Hammas calls for destruction of Israel in a speech, meanwhile, across town, 100,000 muslims, led by influential Saudi Cleric, stage protest of Hammas terror in Israel by marching in the West Bank. I'll bet both make the news.

Actually no. Again, the western media thrives on bad news more than good, especially bad news that plays to the Evil Muslim stereotypes. The only way those 100,000 muslims would make the news is if even one of them were chanting "Death to America Death to Israel Death to the Cartoonist!!"

Been turning a blind eye to the many Muslim condemnings of these actions for awhile eh?

Of course, in that area of the world, the so-called radicals tend to have quite a bit of influence financially as well as socially and militarily. The whole "living life" part of the peaceful Muslim might be more important than staging a protest just so Americans think differently.

And when was the last time YOU had a protest against jihadists? Shit, how many people, anywhere, protest? It's not like everyone has nothing to do except protest for the cameras. And protest tends to be a rather democratic thing, and Saudi Arabia is a Kingdom. The concept isn't ingrained in the society, because they didn't have Vietnam and powerfully influential liberal universities. To quote another thread, it's like apples and oranges. You're saying people should protest when it's not really their thing, and when they live in authoritarian rather than liberal societies, and when it may end up harming them physically from reprisal - just so that Pat Robertson doesn't go "Islam is about world dominationz!!!!"

When we all know Pat Robertson will think that no matter what. And frankly, there ARE Muslims who oppose all that nonsense, but maybe it didn't occur to them that it would be NECESSARY for *them* to make some public stand about it... any more than it occurs to American jews that they should make a protest whenever Israel runs over some Palestinian children with a tank. But then again the media never seems to paint THAT in a bad light, they're too busy hyping the evil world-dominating baby-eating "jihadists."
