Serbia-Montenegro in pop song row

Tensions between Serbia and Montenegro have spilled over into the Eurovision song contest, which has a history of intense national rivalry.
An argument is raging over which band should represent the federation of Serbia and Montenegro in the contest.

A Montenegrin boy band called No Name won a televised competition in Belgrade to choose the best song - but they were booed by the audience, who cried foul.

The Montenegrin judges on the panel were accused of tactical voting.

The republic is due to hold a referendum in May on whether it wants full independence from Serbia. By coincidence it will be held the day after the Eurovision contest.

Listen you dumb-ass this just confirms you dont know anything.Montenegro judges gave max points to Noname band and 0 to Serbian bands.Noname witch was in last years eurosong contest too [thanks to judges from montenegro] and finished close to last place.Their new song is even worse.The serbian judges voted like last year fairly and objective giving points to every side depending on their opinion.I dont see any nationalisam here exept from montenegro side.We have pulled our votes.We are satisfied that nobody will go now.Fooled once,but not for second time.So the Montenegro judges are the only nationalist here.Im getting tired of blaming everything on Serbia..U are a very sick and brainwashed man with very little or zero information about the situation here.What is worse u are spreading this desinformation like a wacko...On the referendum side people in Serbia JUST DONT CARE,.DO YOU GET THAT.WE WILL ACCEPT EVERY RESULT.There wont be any war you dumb-ass...We dont want to be blamed again by western propaganda for something we didnt do.Its the montenegro who makes this incidents,this time by repeating old slovenian-croatian practices and trying to increase tension....People are ,much, much more conserned with other problems like economics and Kosovo.

Nationalism is rampant on both sides, and the Serbian-Montenegrin union is bound to fail because of it. This silly Beovision crap is only a ridiculous sign of that. It won't be the cause for the split, but that which precipitated this infantile argument between the two entities will.

But seriously now maybe thats your psycotic mongoose point of view but we dont see it that way.Its a chanse to hear lots of foreign songs,from foreign cultures and have pleasent evening.Also to promote our country with good songs and also call foreign bands to sing here.Lots of songs do become popular after eurosong here too and i would not qualify it as a bad festival.

Do you even speak English? Because if you're taking this as Serb bashing it doesn't seem like you do: I'm bashing Montegrins as well as Serbs. Caring this much about a silly contest with crappy songs is on a backdrop of a deeper strife.

I am. I just happen to speak Serbo-Croatian (paternal grandmother comes from there and my father was eager on me not losing the language connection) - the proper language of the region and not some pseudo-language invented by nationalists called "Serbian" and "Croatian."
