Isaac Hayes, the voice of Chef, is leaving South Park:

Apparently he got upset because the show makes fun of religion :confused:
I guess he hadn't noticed before. The problem is that this time the show made fun of his religion, Scientology. If you thought those guys can't take a joke, now you can be sure.

Considering how old that Scientology episode is, he's either a fucking hypocrite since he didn't put up a fuss about other religions being mocked on South Park, or just as plausible explanation on the other end, the Church of Scientology finally got around to pressuring the fuck out of him (ie threatening to have Tom Cruise jump on him repeatedly like a couch).
Either way sounds viable as a reason.

They did the exact same thing to scientology that they did to Mormonism, except they added more satire to the scientology episode. The Scientologists are just bunch of egomaniacs who can dish it out but go into cult defense mode if you try to say anything to them.

My favourite issue of all, from the first article I read on this issue (from the MSN page...will post a link if I can find it), was that he was claiming so much "religious intolerance and bigotry". Then Stone pointed out that Hayes happily cashed the checks from all the episodes tearing down other religions, but gets his panties in a bundle over this. Stone laid down the verbal bitch slap by pointing out that that is where religious intolerance begins.
For all the people who think that Stone and Park are cretins out to make a buck on the mocking of others.....their response to this should at least suggest otherwise.
