I love it, the video is excellent and the words and sentiment always make me cry. The man singing is named Luke, and he is singing from the heart about his memories of his time with his Dad. Luke was bullied at school and sometimes his Dad would let him have the day off school and take him to work with him. His Dad was a digger driver.
WOW...gets me every time.
Well, it made number one in the British singles chart, so I guess it's well liked over here. I'd rate it as 'sweet, but somewhat silly' (I know it has a serious message, but some lines are just bizarre).

Which ones do you think are bizarre?
I love the fact that he sings it with such emotion that his voice almost breaks in one bit, I love how it makes me remember what it was like to be a small child. I remember the Bruce Lee craze and also the A team reference is from my childhood too. I would love to know what his Dad makes of this lovely tribute.
Maybe I'm biased because I listen mainly to classical music, but it wasn't that good if you ask me. I'll stick to some real music. All in all, it's just another silly pop tune just like the thousands already in existance.

That's pretty much it.

Wow I am shocked, didn't think of it like that at all...not even really pop as far as I was concerned, more modern folk. Hmmm. well I DID ask.

It's not awful, but musically it's pretty ho-hum.

Video's fairly clever in a simple way. Musically, nothing special, but there are far worse songs out there.
