Chavs, in my definition are those "bling bling" people who like rappers as 50cent and think its cool to be player and to have women "working" for you etc. I think you should have the freedom to be who you want to be. And in that perspective I also have my freedom to express my opinion of those people.

These chavs are just the result of MTV which is widely popular and feeds the youth with wrong and bad information and also gives them (an imo) a wrong look on life and society. Chavs are also the biggest trouble makers around in a city and school. Thinking that everyone who doesnt wear this "nike" or "adidas" sportjack isnt cool, and that a person like that should be grouped upon and be beaten up. They are TV drones. Their only goal in live is to be popular and liked by all through false achievements which mean nothing besides in their world.

Nobody is perfect in his/her time of puberty, but I think that, of all types of people. the chavs need to learn that there is actually a tough world outside there when their schoolperiod ends. And that all their actions in their teenage years will heavily influence their future live. I speak from experience, being 14 years myself.

this could be said of 'yahs' at university too - for anyone that doesn't know, theyr the ones who went to public school, have apartments bought for them in the posh parts of town, live off credit cards paid for by mummy or daddy, and expect to get a job in the city and/or at mummy or daddy's company as soon as they finish uni.

but the thing is i know yahs and chavs/neds that are perfectly pleasant and reasonable people its just unfortunate that when a few individuals that fit the stereotypical appearence of yahs or chavs so they are easily recognisable do something objectionable a whole group of people who dress/speak a certain way get a reputation for obnoxious behaviour. when a 'normal' person does anything objectionable nobody is able to pin point a particular group - unless you're old and then it's: "young people today! you would see people people behaving like that in my day."

I would not say genocide though, mainly because its such a waste of manpower. Arresting them for the crimes they DO commit might be a start.

When you need to shoot lots of people to solve a problem its too late anyway.

If the age of arrestability (I know that is not the correct word, hell, it's probably made up) was lowered and people actually PUNISHED when they did wrong. There would not be so many utter knobheads going around.


Also, it depends on your definition of a chav, I have spent many a happy day with a bunch of mates wandering around with a few cans of superlager. I am proud to say I have never started a fight or vandalised anything or broken into anyones house to steal a TV to feed a drugs habit.
