Odd or Bizzare Dreams

Okay gang: let's hear about your odd dreams. I'm sure all of us have a few doozies up our sleeves that should be somewhat funny.

I, for instance, dreamt last night that I turned into a woman. A woman with a lithe gymnastics expert's body, no less. And cat ears. In short, I was extremely hot, and everyone acted as if it was normal. I was, however, beseeched for no less than twenty dates at school that "day". The weirdest part of the dream was, other than my transformation, nothing else was different. The "day" even progressed like a normal one, not skipping around or otherwise being nonlinear and unrealistic.

But that's just one of the many weird dreams I've had. Now, how about the rest of you?

Your dream means you want to be accepted in everyday life as the transvestite/furry you secretly yearn to be.

As amusing as that is...you're probably right. XDDD I would LOVE to be able to switch between genders a la Ranma, for instance. As for the furry...I wouldn't mind cat ears and a tail.

BUT I DON'T THINK THAT'S THE POINT.

Now tell me, Revnia: what kind of odd dreams have you had?

I once had a dream where beautiful women were licking my feet. Then I woke up and my dog was licking my feet. I put the dog out of my room and went back to the beautiful women in my sleep.

What is it about cat ears that just makes someone so much hotter? Or glasses for that matter?

...

Eh, for me, it's probably because I seek intellectuality and glasses, despite the idiocy of it, tend to be linked to smart peeps, so yah. =/

Stone: Oh that's always fun. I had a dream similar to that meself.

Last night I dreamed that I was watching the last episode of Knight Rider on TV with my family at Matsumoto Castle. In the episode, KITT (the car) had fallen in love with an old Model T Ford and was attempting to get Michael Knight and the Knight Foundation to fix it up so that the Model T would be an AI like 'he' was so they could get married.

However, my family was mad that I wanted to watch this 2 hour episode when we were supposed to be looking for special supersoakers hidden somewhere in Matsumoto Castle by Tokugawa himself. These old Japanese squirt guns would be just the thing to wash off the dirt on our own car so we got into a fight over the control of the remote and if we should watch Knight Rider or something else.

And sadly, this was not the weirdest dream I have had.

so on friday i was at this mall and there was a scientologist lady trying to pimp Elrond Hubbard's pinkish nonsense. i read the titles of the books aloud: L. Ron Hubbard on Children, L. Ron Hubbard on Drugs, etc. so the lady working there took massive offense and started bitching at me.

that night i dreamed that John Travolta came to my house to kill me. i tried to sneak out the back door but i had to crap, and then i was naked, and then my windshield was all fogged up, so eventually i had to go back and he got me.

Recently, nothing weird, just standard flying dreams, waking up and finding that my bedroom is in my workplace. That sort of thing. When I was five, I had strange recurrent dreams - I still remember them - I was running through a graveyard being chased by demonized dragons, I was scared to death of them, but no matter how fast I ran they'd catch me and turn into my parents. I had these every night for years.

I've had some incredibly fucked up ones, but alas, I only remember a select few.

One in particular I remember was me at work (in a supermarket) and I had to get a pricecheck from the meat department on a dead baby wrapped in glad-wrap, because the barcode on it wouldn't scan.

Let's see if I can remember the particulars of one of my weirder dreams:

I was watching one of the Alien movies. Then I was in the Alien movie, and my friend was there and we had guns, and I recall we ran out of ammo, so we went to the amoury or something to get more. However, the amoury was a shack-thing like a garage. There was a little boy and a Predator there, and they were playing with a kitten. Then my friend and I decided to travel down a river on a skateboard-like thing that was in the shack. We went down the river and were passing a bunch of countries, and then we decided to stop at one so we rolled the skateboard-thing onto the shore, which was apparently the US because someone almost ran over us with a car. We went exploring and eventually ended up at this place where the British royalty was apparently visiting, and a bunch of badguys were going to do something evil. So along with J and K of the Men In Black, I used my mighty kung fu skills to thwart the bad guys and then we all celebrating and the Queen through her wig into the air.

...I am so missing details from that, but it happened a while ago.

I also had a dream once where there was a hole in my head. It was just kind of there, with a bit of dried blood around the edge. I stuck my finger in it, up to the knuckle. Eck.

Haha.

I also had a nuke dream, or something like that. I was walking along a street I recognised in the city, but everything was burning and there were bodies scattered around everywhere. I came to one body, knelt down, turned it over, glimpsed the face and then instantly woke up shivering. I don't remember the face. That was a warped one...I wrote that down so I wouldn't forget. There was other stuff in the dream before that, but that's all I remember.

My nuke dream was surprisingly symbolic. It happend either right before we invaded Iraq or right after.

Washington had this gigantic cannon and we were at war with this fortress on an island off the coast. (I know D.C. is on a river; my geography isn't so great when I'm dreaming.) So, we decide to fire a nuke at the island via the cannon. We fire the nuke, there's a big burst of light and (surprise!) the fortress is compleatly unarmed.

Anyways, I'm standing on top of my suburban school's roof at night watching this and then D.C. blows up, My first thought is, "crud, I might have radiation poisoning." I then get the idea that a biology teacher will tell me if I will survive or not and I spend the rest of the dream wandering around my school looking for the biology department.

I have the craziest mofo WTF dreams in the whole WTF world. I sincerely regret that Freud is dead because I would love to watch his head explode trying to analyze my dreams. I keep a catalogue of them and use them in artwork and writing.

So which do you want to hear:

The one where I got caught in a shoot-out while arguing with a bureaucrat at a hotel run by the FBI?

Or the one about the mummy who hated Castilians?

Or the one about the headless woman doing her nails?

Or the one about the Danish, dog-stealing, Dolph Lundgren lookalike fairies at the aquarium?

Or the one about the severed head of Jesus Christ among the sofa cushions?

Or the series of dreams in which I learned how to drive -- different dreams with different situations requiring me to drive although I don't know how -- and I got better at it in each dream...

Sadly, I don't remember my dreams too often anymore (which sucks, because I have to do a project in psychology thats a dream journal...by the way, do any of you mind me stealing your dreams for my journal? ^_^;;;)

I do remember old dreams though, like this one where aliens and come to my elementary school disguised as people and they went around pouring water on people, and the people melted (this was after hearing about Jim Jones when I was in, like 5th grade).

Another was this one where I could only see people in polygon shapes, like peoples' heads would be like triangles and other Picasso-type craziness. Then I went to the circus and this clown kept freaking me out with his square eyes and stuff.

my scariest dream had this guy who chased me around my house trying to inject me with whatever was in this big syringe he had. he'd already killed my parents and brother and sisters with it. needless to say, having this dream at about 8 years old was FREAKY

the weirdest was having a dream that my jaw was locked out of place, dislocated or something, but i still had to go to school and act normal even though it was so painful and impossible to talk. when i woke up, my jaw was aching and throbbing. i dont know, i guess i must have slept on it wonky, but who knows how that pain got into my dream.

a few weeks ago, i had spend the evening making pancakes with a friend for pancake tuesday, and that night, i was really sick and feverish and i suppose delirious or something, because i dreamt i was being overwhelmed by mountains of pancakes. they werent squishing me physically, but just kinda crushing my mind.
i felt suffocated, mentally, by pancakes....

Messed up dreams? Anyone have nice grandma and grampa want to eat the life essense out of you dreams?

I had just gotten spiffed up for some party and decided to visit an elderly couple very dear to me because I was going thier way. I had a suit, shirt, and tie. Black and pink, looking pimpin'. So go up to their apartment, they say, "Hi!" and they give me ginger bread cookies and whatnot. They then sedated me by sticking a needle in my neck. They threw me up against a table that meets the wall and began poking me with very lone needles until I was internally bleeding pretty much everywhere, all the while we were making normal conversation.

After about fifteen minutes of us chatting and me internally bleedy, they take off the top of my suit and rolls up my shirt and each of them bit a chuck on flesh out of me! Which I actually felt, because the sedative worn off. I protest, rather loudly while screaming. They apologize, get some gauze and bandage, patch up the wound. I put my suit and shirt back on, grab some cookies for the go, hug the couple good-bye and we all say we should see eachother again soon.

"Sorry I have to run, but I got a party to go to," I said while leaving and calmly went to the said party.

if i was to go all freud-ish, i would say...

maybe you have issues with a friend that only your subconscious is aware of. like, maybe the pain and suffering in your dream is actually a mental metaphor for someone close to you - they keep hurting you, but you keep coming back

I have issue's with just about everybody. Anyhow, that interpretation is probably dead on. Odd thing is, its the environment I had this dream in that confuses me. I'm far removed from any long-term, meaningful realtionship. All have have currently are aquaintances, with no problems really to speak of.

I'm intrigued by the whole subconscious level of oneself, for example, the gut feeling, just knowing what to do and no explaination why, and for me especially, going to the bathroom while sleep walking (among other things). If the whole bathroom run thing qualifies.

On Sunday I had a weird dream. I can't remember much about it, but I do remember that I started giggling alot in the dream. Started off snorting, then giggling, then laughing, then guffawing. I couldn't stop laughing. I've no idea why I was laughing, but I was giggling my arse off.
What made it embarassing was that I started doing it in reality as well. I was giggling so much I woke myself up.
What was even more embarassing was that I was sleeping on a mate's couch cause I'd missed the last ferry home, and my giggling woke him and his g/f up. And his mate who was visiting from China.
They were kinda spooked from my cachinations. As was I.

Yeah, well, these forums creep me out. I think they ate all the posts I made yesterday.:( My dream is a recurring one of a young woman I know. She is a queen of Athens, which is why a couple of my friends taunt me simply by saying "Queen of Athens"(jerks). She is in a simple palace: basically a large slab of stone on top of a hill with lots of columns around the exterior supporting the roof, with guards spaced regularly along the columns staring out into the city. I'm staring out between a pair of columns as well. As I turn to face her, a rebel materalizes from the shadows of the interior of the building and runs a pike through her heart via her back. I swiftly decapitate him at the jaw and hold her in my arms as she dies.

I had a dream semi-recently where I was on the ferry and some people were on a raft nearby with a girl in the water. For some weird reason she wouldn't get back on the raft and she got sucked under and mulched by the ferry. When we got to the other side, we saw the raft people paddling towards us. When they got to the other side, for some weird reason the people who run the ferry gave them a whole bunch of fruit, including grapefruit and watermelon - so much that one of the people started dropping the fruit. And that's all I can remember. WTF?

Seriously, the scariest dreams I've had involved being chased by raptors. The oldest dream I can remember was from when I was 5 and in it I was being chased by Barkley from Sesame Street.

For the most part, my dreams are weird, usually involving stuff like an intergalactic zoo with blue hippo-pigs.

I had a dream once where I was in a big concert hall watching Arnold Schwarzenegger sing and dance on stage and then a guy with a gunshot would in his leg started chasing me. I ran out of the hall and around the hallways ... literally around, they went like the Kingdomes parking ramp ... and he was faster than me even though one of his legs didn't work. I kept going into rooms and closing/locking doors and he'd be banging on it, I'd go to the other door (that's always there on the opposite side of the room) and keep running. Couldn't breathe, cramps in my legs, I was putting everything I had into it and this weird guy with an fresh injury in his leg was faster than me. Jerk. Then it turned into a zombie dream and somehow I was able to hold a zombie hostage with a knife at his throat so the other ones would leave me alone. Which doesn't make any sense at all, cause zombies so totally don't work like that. I even thought that as I was dreaming "how is this working?!" When I woke up I was still running the corridors with my hostage trying to find the door out.

Anyway, that's one of many, but I'm sure it's enough for now.

Anyway, I somehow escaped with my sea monkeys, but they were jumping out the little vent holes at the top of the tank and turning into catfish and then they would die, so I had this pile of dead catfish that were formerly sea monkeys........ then my kid woke up vomiting so I had to go deal with that. Here is one pretty recent that I wrote down:

"I remember being in a large house with many rooms and areas, (filled
with familiar characters from real life, taken out of context) doing
various things. I also remember a few people mysteriously having died
in a part of the house, but that then became irrelevant as the dream's
focus changed. Then, I remember a sort of track you travel through,
beginning below a mountain, going upwards over the top of a sharp
edge, then through tunnels, where you keep attached to a wagon of
sorts, in a way that makes it feel as if you could easily fall of if
you aren't careful.

I am going with my dad, and have been there before atleast once. It
stops at the top of the sharp cliff, due to a malfunction, then
resumes. Eventually I come to a point where I realize it might be hard
to continue further on, and decide that my best bet is for us to get
off the machine carrying us, and go along until we find some staff
that can take us back down again, at a point that I remember further
on.

My dad suddenly collapses, and I carry him on through the tunnel we
currently are in...

We have now come to a room somewhere, and there is an enemy here. A
large, black leech, preparing to attack. I end up cutting it to pieces
using a knife that I have on me. Doing so leaves a weird, somewhat
painful and dark feeling. This is not the first time I have met this
enemy; it has happened before, altought in a slightly different shape.

I carry on further, and eventually come to the house, to the area
where people mysteriously have been killed, where someone tells me
about the bodies containing high amounts of some metal, and being
killed in a certain room.

He goes into the room in question, and I follow. I stop just outside,
and a large monster appears below the ceiling at the door, floating
towards me; it has selected me as it's next victim. It is the same as
the enemy I have defeated in much weaker forms before, but now it is
far more powerful. (dark and brooding background music begins playing
in my head as it appears)

It extends something towards me, and as I cannot run away, I decide to
grab it, and follow it into the room, where the person telling me
about the bodies stand, and, I later notice, some unknown, suspicious
person sitting in a chair in the other end of the room. I realize that
I can't win, so I decide to wake up before I get to have a painful
experience. As I wake up, I get a feeling that waking up won't really
change anything, in the end."
