Utopian Unique Party

Seeing the party thread, I wanted to start a party for my own political beliefs.

Utopian Unique Party

MANIFESTO

Policies Under the UUP

1. The government type shall be a democratically elected dictatorship. The Supreme General (dictator) can be overridden by democratic vote. Next step down is the Superior General-- the same but can be overridden by the Supreme General also.

2. The economy shall become capitalist in a way, and communist in another. Power and water will be provided by the government free of charge.

3. The death penalty will only be allowed in cases of multiple or horrendous rapes or murders.

4. Heroin, morphine, cocaine, marrjuana, alchohol, and tobacco will be illegal.

5. Free speech will be allowed to an extent. Rascism will not be tolerated, and Nazi presentations will be broken up via police.

6. Cars will be banned in favor of bullet trains, conveyor belts, and footpaths.

And that's all I'm patient enough to type for now.

Sign up for party positions once we get in power! I'll be Supreme General!

Seems like we have a whole new political ideology presented to us: Utopian Dreams of a Fourteen Year Old. I'm sure it'll be a blast.

Power and water should not be free of charge. That would promote the overconsumption of both and people would therefore feel no incentive to conserve resources. It would hurt the environment for that reason, it would hurt the economy too, it would be bad for all. Other than that I am relatively ok with the platform, it just needs to be expanded a bit I think.

Sorry. This particular one seems to merit it, though.

NO ADVERTISING IN MY THREAD!

However, perhaps a limit on monthly energy would be good?

You do not own the thread.

And your policies need some...extra thought.

Well, what about people who want more energy? Should they be able to get the energy they want? I mean, different people and groups have different energy needs based on lifestyles and such. Maybe there should be a free amount of water given based on members of a household but energy should be for pay as should water in excess of what should be needed. The decision for the maximum amount of water to be given needs to be taken though, I think it should be sort of high to account for disease like diarrhea and such. Power, not being a necessity of life should be paid for. If I want to live my zen life of no power I should not be forced to pay the electrical bills of somebody who loves their electricity with an unhealthy passion, that would not only be expensive but it would give them too much leeway to waste, people do better with resources when they realize that their actions have consequences for them.

It's your party. I'm not going to make it mine.

One thing is to try not to combine the worst things about Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia.

(Elected dictator and Car Ban/partial communism)

The dictator has several limits on his power, such as the ability to be elected out IMMEDIATELY. And what's wrong with banning cars? As for the partial communism (power/water free) what's wrong with that either?

And Vegas-Rex, could you delete that ad post?

Just because you're too young to drink it doesnt mean you can ban it for other people. Reasons to drink? How about: it can taste damn good.

What if the 'elected dictator' simply changes the law so that they cannot be elected out anymore?

Which rapes would you describe as not being 'horrendous?'

Any utopia that won't let me rack up a fat line and polish it off with a doob for dessert - I want no part of it!

Other things taste good too.

He can't change the law like that. That's one of the limits.

And that's up to the judge.

And what the hell kind of utopia would that be?

It would be a good utopia. An actual one.

Other things taste good so we should ban alcohol? Nice reasoning there, I'm sure your reign as dictator will last a long time.

Well, yeah, it tastes good. LET'S GET DRUNK!

Yeah, nice reasoning! Really! [/sarcasm]

Seriously, why SHOULD we allow it?

I don't think you've quite grasped the meaning of the world 'dictator.'

Hey, it's possible to have a dictator with limits. Why can't it be done?
