What is the n00b scale? or the n00bness scale?

I never got that - not being a severe n00b hunter, I couldn't decide whether to capture some, weigh them then hunt them. I mean, live n00bs weigh more (what with still having all their blood/vital organs etc.).

a n00b is someone new to a field, that is very OTT or just plain dumb about it. e.g. WOAH I LIKE TOALLY KICKED THAT GUY IN THE FACE LIKES WAS WELL GOOD!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D::D:D: AJJJ!!J¬¬J¬J¬¬K¬¬K¬!!!!
compared to: that was good i killed them and won.

A n00b is a person who has no clue about proper forum posting ettiquite or how to RP properly or for some personal reason refuses to abide by those rules. For example, a standard n00b post in a war RP would be along the lines of:

As the helpless masses of nation X's population watch in horror, the n00b nation sends 5,000 nuclear bombs with 50,000 megaton warhead into their capital city, killing over 15 million of nation X's population

The stupider the post the higher you rate on the n00b scale.

Yes, you are a newbie which is to be distinguished from a n00b. A newbie is someone who understand the general rules of posting, but is new to a particular forum. Newbies are ok since all they lack is experience in the nuances of the forum in question, but they know enough about how things work that they won't post a n00bish

Are the numbers actual values that can be applied to a person's n00bness? In other words, can you just say, "Oh, this n00b is a 4 or this n00b is a 2 on the n00bness scale?" If so, then why not post a sticky here where you can move people up, down and off of the n00b scale as they progress in the community?

far be it from me to say this, you know, being a newb, n00b or whatever that other thing was, but I think there should be a scale and it should be posted and newbs, n00bs or whatever shoudl be able to find themesleves on the scale. Look at it this way, you wont see threads like this anymore.
