Anyone want to go the following Chinese restaurant? :D
Waiter, waiter, there's a penis in my hotpot
China's exotic food industry has a new addition, a restaurant that specialises in animal extremities.
China's increased wealth has brought a growing demand for exotic delicacies.
A new Beijing restaurant is serving up traditional hotpot with a difference.
Customers can choose from more than 30 kinds of penis - including yak, donkey, dog, ox or even seal.
Although a meal can cost more than $500, the restaurant still boasts a loyal clientele.
Eating penis is said to improve everything from male virility to skin tone.
The new delicacy joins old Chinese favourites such as frog, silkworm, scorpion, dog and snake.

I originally heard that as the Cantonese will eat everything with four legs except for the table and chairs. Of course that was my old Shanghainese GF, who also said the Cantonese do well at every job except zookeeper...
There was an old poem to that effect as well - I think it was something like the the "Gourmand's Lament".

Actually they dislike felines. They say they taste extraordinarily bad. I am guessing it is something built in them to ensure they remain the alpha predators. Sort of like their taurine deficiency which forces them to hunt for meat.

That'd be why Tiger is a delicacy, right? Also note the civet, while not a feline but related, are prixed for their meat, especially in China. (This is thought to be at least part of the disease vector for the SARS virus.)

Delicacies are acquired tastes. ;) Which means, they aren't necessarily the best tasting to begin with.
Anyway, 'tis time for the tigers to reclaim their land. Silly Asians, they are no match for the king of felines. (and no, it's not the bloody lion) :p

The way I heard it was, "The Chinese will eat anything with four legs that's not a chair, wings that's not a plane and swims that's not a submarine. And watever the Chinese don't eat, the Cantonese will."
Having lived over here for nearly 2 yrs, I heartily concur with this adage.
