Plot+setting feedback
plot: from July 5, 23D9 to May 14, 23E5, The entire world became involved in WWV(World War 5). The war ended only when 97% of the world collapsed into anarchy, with the remaining 3% too devestated to have any world influence.
setting:
time and date: 7:24 AM; January 1, 27X4.
location: a small area in what was the south-western United States and northern Mexico.
other things that could influence story:
due to the effects of the weaponry used in WWV, the climate is marked by cold(sometimes sub-0 F) winters and harsh summers.
While modern technology may be unknown to the main characters, nearby abandoned cities dot the local geography.
The devestation of WWV put the world into shock, resulting in a fear of technology(you'd be surprised what one can do to another with a blander) and another dark age.

'Tis in my 'hood, and I tried writing a story once with virtually the same ending. Except it was the end of oil that caused the collapse into anarchy followed by endless war, sort of like the Middle Ages. Could never get past the boring middle parts though. :( Lost to the detriment of time.

i like it - a world with only basic technology is somehow appealing
[maybe because i find it so addictive]
i dont understand the time frame with the numbers in the years tho
i have a few questions, i dont know if you've even thought up answers yet
how did the main characters survive the devestation?
was wwv nuclear war? so whats the effect of radiation on the environment?
id read it, at any rate - have you got any idea for the complications or plot or what will happen to the min characters?

My plot seems feasible in real life. It's only a matter of time before every nation is ruled by dumbasses. In the US, dumbasses have had a hard time getting elected(but, with a few exceptions, each president has been dumber than the last.) while the Islamifacsist states can't go one year without having crazies in power. France might be suffering from "I can't believe we lost yet again" syndrome while Germany might be heading towards "what holocaust? I have no idea what you mean by nazi. <.< >.>. North Koreans don't have to worry about rule by smart people as they keep getting crazies and morons.
As for the weather part, why not? We'll just keep getting weirder weapons with bigger explosions. We like explody things.
as for the q's:
1. While the war was devestating, I hinted at there being survivors. Gocernments don't get corrupt by themselves, you know and there still are governments. They're just ths shitty ones left over when the good ones died.
2. The years are vague and remind me of the years mentioned in the Metroid instruction manual.
3. When governments collapse and no government forms/is taken over, there is no government. therefore, there is anarchy.
As for the weather part, why not? We'll just keep getting weirder weapons with bigger explosions. We like explody things.
