I'm not sure...I thought one of the symptoms of insanity is that it seems sane to you though? So would it even occur to you there was anything wrong?

I have turned myself in before. I suppose I didn't let it get too far since I am still alive and wasn't criminally charged with anything.

bah, i'd probably enjoy it. spice up my everyday life a bit.
i used to want to carry a knife with me to lectures last year when i had bad social anxiety, and almost did a couple of times but i always stopped myself (cos i realised it was slightly nuts). not quite piano wire but meh

You don't leave the option for not turning yourself in? That is pretty stupid. I would not turn myself in.
EDIT: I guess the last option for attention is the not turning yourself in one but how would you get attention for it if you hid it? If I went insane I would probably be paranoid and would not look for attention.
If I started hallucinating I'd freak out and turn myself right in.

If I experienced those symptoms, my state of mind would be such that a) I woulnd't consider a problem
b) I wouldn't consider turning myself in a solution

The fun part is that usually by the time you reach the point when you're harming yourself and/or others, it seems like a pretty good idea. :p
