I learned never to apply Icy-Hot Cream to genital areas. It was an accident, as I was applying it to my upper leg area as it has been hurting lately. Some of the cream found its way...to...ahem....and it burned like hell.

Some cheeses are evil. It's just the way it is, but you have to keep it away from the other cheese so they don't get corrupted as well. *Smack* Down boy!

But a good Brie would never do anyone harm. Or a cherry-flavoured mild cheese.

Mmmm... Cherry :fluffle:

I learned that rubbing alcohol smells bad and still doesn't get sharpie marker off the wall. Toothpaste seems to be working though.

I also learned that when playing My little pony, that my 2 year old has a pony who is transgendered. It's okay though his family still loves him. ;)

I have learned to hate my neighbor's barking dogs even more today than I hated them yesterday. I have learned the email address of the City Attorney and written her for advice on what legal action I can take. I have learned, although not today, that my next house will sit in the middle of 1 to 3 acres so if I have neighbors with barking dogs, they won’t bother me.

Oh, I also learned that Aldi's only accepts cash, debit cards, and Aldi's credit cards. So, we looked around instead of shopping and found out their prices are excellent. Next time we go we will have cash as we do not have a debit card.

I learned that by preforming CPR, you are not actually trying to save the victims life (you have less than 1% chance of doing that) but actually to preserve soft tissues for possible organ donation.

Apparently one of the tricks for removing Sharpie marks is to draw over them with a dry-erase marker, and then just wipe them away with a dry cloth. I have no experience of whether this works or not, but have heard several people describe this procedure.

I don't know if that will work on walls but I know from experience that it does with white boards and mirrors. So it's worth a shot.

I learned how to make a black powder bomb (in theory, anyway), but I have yet to test it out.
I also learned to love again, to always bet on black, and found a list of movie clichés. If you think those things are all related, then you are probably smart enough to write an American movie script, but only as long as you remember to include a romantic subplot and a drunken cop with a heart of gold.

I was about to say "nothing", but just from this thread

- I re-learned that Gravlen really, really loves cherries

- I learned that Aldi has their own credit cards

- I learned that if I buy coffee form a vending machine in Finland, I better be prepared to drink it out of my cupped hands

- I learned that H N Fiddlebottoms VIII learned to love again *awww*

- I learned that more people than I thought didn't know how to properly cut a pineapple.

Not bad for one thread on NS General, not bad at all.

Indeed, the Roman Empire was one of the greatest things to happen to the ancient Western world, and the innovations in war and technology that they produced/stole have influenced the world dramatically for the better.
They also produced damn good drama and killed Jesus, so you'll find no better proponent for the Romans.

gah.......I just had a "duh" moment, so I have just now learned that when I am tired my brain doesn't work well.

So, my kids were playing in the dirt today, and I was thinking "you know what's cleaner than dirt? sand." so I was sitting here looking up sand tables, to price one and find one that I could afford and like and all, and I am thinking "geez, these are expensive, it's just a table......" it took me like 20 minutes to realize that I could just buy them a rubbermaid type box and fill it with sand and be done with the whole thing for about $30.00:headbang:

(the cheapest sand table I found was $150,00)
