Wow, that's a blast from the past there...my favorite is either Welcome to Dead House (I had the original print run too) or The Beast from the East. I liked the "Give Yourself Goosebumps" series as well, but there wern't anywhere near as many of them as the main series.

Are you kidding? I loved them all! The only old-school ones I didn't read where My Hairiest Adventure, Legend of the Lost Legend, and I Live In Your Basement!

My favourites, if I had to choose just a very few, would have to have been Welcome to Camp Nightmare, The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, and Phantom of the Auditorium. All three were special to me because of special reasons -- Camp Nightmare reminded me of the most horrible summer camp I once went to as a child, Fever Swamp gave me chills thinking of all the times we'd go camping and boating (which I started doing when I was VERY young), and Phantom because I was acting from a young age.

When younger I liked the "Welcome to Dead House", "Say Cheese and Die!", those books with the mutant hampster, and the first of the "You Choose the Scare" series, when you're stuck in the amusement park after closing.

I used to own dozens of those books... :D

My mom wouldn't let me read them. But it was okay, because I prefered the Babysitter's Club.

I was pretty lucky; I kept mine in the basement and so I have almost all of them. There are a few of the older ones missing, though. Thank God for Half-Price Books...I also picked up an old copy of Dinotopia while I was at it.

I read the first 20 or so of them when they first came out. I'd completely forgotten about them until now.

I was too old for Goosebumps. Now "Choose Your Own Adventure" books were awesome.

My favorite one was an early one with a mummy on the front. I read it by myself when I was 5 (quite the feat at the time) and it scared the living shit out of me. I couldn't sleep.
