The other threads are boring me...
A friend confides to you that he has committed a particular crime and you promise never to tell. Discovering that an innocent person has been accused of the crime and is going to be executed, you plead with your friend to give himself up. He refuses and reminds you of your promise. What should you do?

Keeping a secret and being an accomplice are two different things, therefore:

Tell the authorities!!!

Turn him in and then fight for the abolishment of the death penalty for several reasons, like it taking the lives of innocents (we already have it abolished where I live, but still). I'd be a monster if I let someone innocent take the fault.
