Big up to the East Coast for being the originators, but what area has made the biggest contribution to Hip-Hop?
Edit: We decided to change Chi-town to the mid-west in general.

Minnesota's suprisingly made a huge contribution with Atmosphere, Eyedea, and Brother Ali just for starters.
I think in the end you have to give it to the East Coast, though.

Suggestion: Change "Chi-Town" to "The Midwest". That way you can include most of Rhymesayers Entertainment and a bunch of great underground guys (Denizen Kane for example).

I'm a fan of Twista, who is from Chicago. I can actually understand hism and his songs seem to have more meaning than the average rapper's while retaining good beats & rhymes. For instance, Sunshine (http://jpez.sobertillnoon.com/upload/files/Twista-Sunshine.mp3) is about Gangstas and money but the approach he takes is much better than similar songs.

You have to thank Puerto Rico for the ass-shaking rythym of reggaeton...the music itself can get a bit repetitious...but watching hot people dance to it never does get old!

Germany has great rappers, as does France and South Africa. All other nationalities (maybe with the exception of the Ukraine) should be forbidden to rap.
