Wear a helmet. You don't want to be unconscious with all the bouncing by the time it arrives.

I'm already scratched up a bit from tackling the cat. :)

get the extended warranty. laptops break much more often than desktops and they are a bitch to fix yourself.

I almost said something about a Dude, but stopped myself just in time.

Seriously, I have a Dell myself. It's been through two wars, and it's still going strong. I have worked with several different laptops, but I like theirs best, and the XPS rocks!

Have fun!

Everyone has laptops nowadays. That's why they're no fun any more.

For the most part, I agree.

But think of this:

Now, none of you can be certain of exactly where I am posting from! AHHH HAHAHAHA!!!!

XPS laptops got excellent reviews.

But the one I got(it arrived!) is light on the gaming. I got one just good enough for some City of Heroes play and that's enough for me. My desktop is still going to be my primary gaming rig. I'd have to spend another $1500 on top of what I already did to even approach my desktop in gaming capability. I can't justify that kind of expenditure right now. :p

I'm updating the security and windows software right now.

Peh. If you can't put it in a Filofax/DayRunner cover it's too big.

Last Dell labtop I had broke within 3 months.

I sent it in, they fixed it, got it back, didn't work. In fact it looks like someone slammed their fist on the keyboard...

Oh God, you could be hanging by a rapelling harness just outside of my window stealing my wireless and posting. That would be terrifying.
