Weird Dreams

The New Diabolicals

Last night I had a really strange nightmare and it was so surreal that I actually remembered it when I woke up again. In the dream I ran through a dark corridor into a city I thought was New York but it had Japanese flags all over the place. A large building that looked slightly like one of the Twin Towers was there, standing incandescant in the night's sky. Suddenly one plane crashed into the tower and the top of the building fell to the ground with a smash. Soon another plane flew into the same building and exploded like a huge incendiary bomb, causing the skyscraper to be engulfed in flames. I watched in amazement but was then chased by men with katanas and stabbed in the heart and then I woke up again...

I realized soon that it wasn't a type of replay on 9/11 in my head because there were Japanese flags, samurais and just one tower instead of two. The tower was also a giant hotel.

What should I make from this? I know some people believe they predicted 9/11 in a supernatural way and this nightmare really haunted me all day. And also, have you ever had any warning or strange dreams you couldn't explain?

OK. I once had a dream where I invented a non-magical variation of Quidditch, where the Golden Snitch was a sparrow that you had to catch.

I once had a dream that I was playing hockey on my high school team. I was skating around the net in my own zone with the puck, and my legs stopped working. I was pushing myself around and had trouble getting the puck out. Eventually my teammates helped me back to our bench and I went on for another shift when my legs began to work again. I skated into my own zone approaching the player in front of the net. The player and I started fighting and I dropped my stick, gloves and helmet on the ice. I beat him and he didn't throw a punch but when I went down to pick up my stick, it swung up and I hit myself in the teeth knocking several out. I spit blood on the ice and then I woke up. I've been having alot of weird sports related dreams lately, I think it might have something to do with the approaching playoffs. Does anyone actually know what dreams mean?

Well all of our dreams are our subconscious trying to tell us something. It is like solving a puzzle to see what it means as we do not dream in a literal sense. Your dream sounds as if in your life you are taking on something new and unfamiliar, whether it be a job or a relationship, moving etc. In this event people will try to undermine you, bring you down, try to make you fail, maybe just be really negative about what you are doing. You will see them doing this but shrug it off or ignore it. YOU Should not do that!! Because if you do they will succeed, by finally stabbing you in the heart, and whatever you are trying to achieve in this big change will fail. Look for the warning signs of people trying to pull you down, undermine you, cause friction, going behind your back etc. And put a stop to it!! Stop it before they stab you in the heart.:)

I really don't know. I am usually quite a dream-atheist but I can remember a friend telling me he kept having dreams about planes crashing into towers before 9/11. I thought dreams were jumbled up thoughts be regurgitated in your mind until then.

Well, I don't think I'm making any new changes to my life. Did I mention that I was accused of being an Israeli terrorist before I was stabbed by these two samaurai in white robes.

I had a weird dream last week. I was on vacation with a short, busty, slightly overweight red-haired girl who was my girlfriend in the dream. She cheated on me with a bunch of nerdy little guys. I confronted her about it and she turned into a giant tarantula. The hotel became a building on an farm and I had to steal the farmer's pickup truck to escape. I caused an accident on the road as I tried to leave because the truck's brakes didn't work properly.

I am always dreaming weird stuff...lol...but not so weird when you really look at it. Recently I dreamt I was in a house, at night, my kids were in bed asleep and my husband was there. A Murderer was trying to kill me. The power had gone out, so complete darkness, they only wanted to harm me,not hubby or kids. I assumed Murderer was a male. All through dream I am running around the house trying to find them, to stop them killing me, but cant find anything in the dark. Checking all hiding places etc. Finally am looking in a cupboard and I get stabbed repeatedely in the back, killed. I then know that the murderer is a woman. So basically a woman is going to stab me in the back, and I am unaware why (being kept in dark). Next day, real time here, I go to Kinder with my child and find out that one of the other Mums has been spreading completely false rumours about me!!! Freaky...lol

you know when deciphering dreams it is helpful to have a waking life realisation of what these places mean to you personally.

for example, new york means almost nothing to me, but if you live there and feel you have some connections with the place it is helpful to know what those connections are and how nyc makes you "feel".

asian influences in your dreams can show a somewhat exotic influence is present in your life or about to enter into your life. it can also represent travel.

Asia

To dream that you are in Asia, suggests that you need to adjust to some situation. If you are traveling to Asia or thinking about visiting Asia, then your dream may indicate your anticipation of such a trip.

To see an Asian person in your dream, represents an aspect of your own self that is unknown to you. Additionally, to see an elderly Asian person, represents wisdom and knowledge.

Airplane

To see an airplane in your dream, indicates that you will overcome your obstacles and rise above to a new level of prominence and status. You may experience a higher consciousness, new-found freedom and greater awareness.

To dream that you transfer planes, implies an important transitional phase in your life which will take you away from your intended path. Changes will occur in your life which will take you to new directions and new heights of status and recognition.

To dream that a plane crashes, suggests that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals may be too high and are impossible to realize. You are in danger of having it come crashing down. Alternatively, your lack of confidence, self-defeating attitude and self-doubt toward the goals you have set for yourself is represented by the crashing airplane; you do not believe in your ability to attain those goals. Loss of power and uncertainty in achieving your goals are also signified.

To dream that an airplane is hijacked, signifies disturbing feelings and past emotions in your unconscious mind.

Every detail, even the most minute element in your dream is important and must be considered when analyzing your dreams. Look closely at the characters, animals, objects, places, emotions, and even color and numbers that are depicted in your dreams. This dictionary, along with your own personal experiences, will serve to guide you through a meaningful and personalized interpretation. With practice, you can gain an understanding of the hidden secrets your dreams are trying to tell you.

But then again, I can only remember a fragment of my dream last night, and that was that my brothers pet chihauhau (who died years agao after going blind because her eye fell out after she got a tumor) came back to life. but she was all wet and cold so she was wearing a little knitted jumper and shivering her and i remember trying to get her warm and sad because i knew she'd die again if i didnt warm her up. TRAGIC!

anyway, i really doubt that my dream fragment means much of ANYTHING to me in r.life... i probably just smoked too much last night. haha :)

One thing I don't get about most dreams (and most of mine seem malignant) is that they never actually conclude. I always wake up before the dream reaches some sort of end and I quite often forget what it was all about. Do you think this is a survival instinct...to stop me pissing myself or something?

Erm..that doesn't seem to correlate with my life at this moment in time. I have never been the Asia and never really intend to and I have no fear of flying.

It might have something to do with the fact the we sleep in cycles and therefore dream in cycles. you most often wont remember the dreams you had in the first stages of REM sleep, and are probably more likely to remember dreams you had during REM sleep closer to the time you wake up.
however, if you wake up too fast, sometimes you can forget your dreams or only remember fragments.

I think dreams are a way of your brain running "defrag" on your memories. they run through events of the day/week and clear any memories or thoughts your brain might deem unecessary for you to retain/remember. they also can be a way for your sleeping self to deciper events which is why we use 'dream interpretation' to show us what all the weird events and happenings from our dreams mean.

The Israeli Terrorist bit is just trying to say that whoever is trying to bring you down sees you as a traitor, or as someone that is not as deserving of the new life/job/relationship. Often our dreams are of future events. So eventhough you don't think you have any changes happening in your life at the moment. I wouldn't be suprised if you do within the next 12 months. It will be interesting to see if the same themed dream reoccurs. Just your subconsious preparing you for events to come.

I used to have lots of weird dreams, but they have decreased greatly since being married.

As far as dreams of widespread or real world destruction, I used to dream of huge machines driving down the middle of the street, with colossal saw blades sticking out of the sides, cutting through each house on each side as it went. I didn't realize what was going on, until the blade on my side of the street started to cut through my house at about waist level. I escaped without being killed.

And I had a recurring dream about ufos flying through the sky, shooting anything on the ground that moved. If they were flying overhead, you had to freeze where you were, and you would be safe. But if you made a move to run, they would disintegrate you.

I hope that they are both just mind-gas, and have no possibility of ever coming true.

That reminds me, I had better go buy some guns.:sniper:

yeah, if you are really wanting to find out what your dream means then you cant just take one the (like flying or japanese flags) to get the meaning.

you need to look up the possible meanings of all the elements of your dream, and be in tune with yourself enough to figure out what it means to YOU, dont just use the stock standard meaning to figure it out.

what a church building means to me (i loathe almost everything about organised religions) is not the same thing a church might mean to some bible bashing god loving jesus freak. they might love the church and feel it is their spiritual home or refuge.

if you are a very self aware person it can be easier to figure out how your dreams relate to your waking life... then again, they could just be a clearign house for all the crap we deal with every day.

I don't know if any of you will relate, but what I am about to tell you was not a dream, it was a vision.

Nothing could be seen clearly, the people looked like boxes of color and I have no idea where or when it took place. There were people running and screaming. I could literally feel their pain and their fear.

Another time I saw this dark thing coming out of the night. It had very white teeth and red eyes. It wispered in an evil voice, "I am Bermuda".

One night I was trying to fall alseep and I saw this huge eye. It was sideways and on fire. I felt like it could see me.

Just recently (The 28th of Feb.) I saw (while I was trying to fall asleep) this huge mouth filled with razor sharp teeth.

As for your dream, it could mean something, maybe not. Sometimes God tells us things through dreams (like Joseph). Sometimes through visions (like John and Paul).

Dreams are random, I wouldn't worry about them.

Last night I dreamed that I was on a beach on the Sea of Japan side of Japan setting up a large tent (I mean the damn thing was huge, larger than my house). I kept having to chase people away from setting up their own tents nearby because President Bush was going to go camping on that beach in Japan and I was picked to get everything ready for him and all living ex-presidents (Ford, Carter, Bush I, and Clinton). But I was also having problems because President Bush kept calling me on my cell phone and asking me to make sure that the seadoos he would be using were filled up with American gas and not Japanese. I kept telling him that there is no American gas in Japan and that the airlines wouldn't fly it to me, but he wouldn't listen.

I also had to get the karaoke room set up because Prime Minister Koizumi of Japan wanted to sing some Elvis songs with Bush.

I have a friend who is a metaphysics student, he says that every dream you have is about yourself, even if it's a sex dream it's about you.

So, when I told him that I had a dream that I was cheating on my husband with my husband and my husband walked in......except he was my boss (which is weird since I don't have a job) and joined us........

he said that I wanted to try something new, but was afraid of disrupting my life, and that I needed to give myself permission to do something slightly out of character and that I was also trying to reassure myself that everything would be okay if I did.

I am fully sure that he is full of you know what.........but, maybe not.

I actually remember my dream from last night.. and boy was it weird:D

I'm not exactly sure how it started off, but it eventually lead me to a giant rainforest. My track team that went to the meet (which I had that day) was with me. We came upon a giant temple in the middle of the jungle, and entered. It really wasnt a temple, as much as a collection of stone buildings and such in various places surrounded by trees. We explored, and various members of the team started disapearing. Eventually me and my friend started running to the entrance, which was across a huge chasm in the ground. There were two ways across; the first was to go down some weird slide of bones that towered really high, and the second was to swing on a giant rope across the chasm. For a reason I cannot remember I was afraid to take the slide, so I took the rope. Another kid from the team took the slide and was threatning me. I remember swinging across on the rope and it was pretty scary. Then I woke up to ESPN radio and went to school.

So I had a dream I met this girl, black shoulder length hair, average build and really nice personality wise, but a sucker to peer pressure. The problem I faced was that she had three friends with her who were really mean and stopped me from talking to her. I finally came up and started talking with all of them, then started sweet talking the first one real quickly before leaving.

I then started fighting in a battle. I was flying a Chinese helicopter (a WZ-10) complete with all Chinese controls and displays. I was switching between gunner and pilot seats and doing a very good job killing terrorists in the Near East. When I started flying over the enemy base I saw the group of girls sitting around talking to the enemy commander who was the Baroness from the old G.I Joe cartoon, just a little more aged. Well, I couldn’t bear to kill all the girls, so I just flew past them, shortly after I just flew away and left.

Well, after this I went to a foster home, a real big Victorian style house and started helping kids there but the Baroness owned the home, and she was pretty cold and mean. I kept pushing for things to make the kids happier and then the four girls come in. They start working there to, but they tried to get the kids to wage mini wars against each other and fight and raid all the different groups of kids at the home. The Baroness tried to get rid of the girls, but she could not. In fact the girls started to have more control over the kids then her, so she sold the house and bought a new one, and moved all the kids out. She invited me to come along but I decided not to.

I then went on some quests with a few other people to look at haunted places, the first place wasn’t haunted, but the second place, an old English manor was quite haunted. We eventually went up a dirt road to the back of the grounds and saw a coliseum type pit dug in the ground, there was this really evil lynx type cat stuck at the bottom giving off this horrible scream. We got out of there fast lest one of us fall in and get killed.

Finally I decided to get a job at a grocery store. While I was looking around for the manager I noticed two of the four girls were working there, so I started thinking about the best way to make contact with the first girl, the one I was first trying to talk with, but then I woke up. Some plumber was in our house beating on pipes in the kitchen above my room.

It was a cool dream. Lets see if you can analize that one. Now days I just dream I am doing homework, sitting around when I should be doing homework or being eaten alive (with no pain.)
