A little thing called emotional comfort doesn't hurt. Or love. But those are really the same thing. o_o

Not so much Common Interest as much an ability to Take Interest. The key isn't to already be interested in the same things as your other half but to be willing and able to become interested in the things that they care about. That works far better, I've found; it adds a degree of complimentation and variety to the relationship.

being best friends usually helps if you want it too last (though it usually ends in tears so think before you join a riot!)

Why do you ask anyways?

Fraternal Conjoined Twins are impossible. Each twin in a fraternal pair comes from a separate ovum. To get conjoined twins, you need identical twins, who both come from the same ovum. If it doesn't split properly, they end up conjoined.

Technically they can be joined in the womb if something goes horribly wrong or they're in there too long. Its happened. :)

perhaps a what should defiantly not be in a relationship would be more of an appropriate question since ones built on what your looking for don't work

Love
Similar Personalities (not necessarily similar interests, although it helps)
Communication
Attitudes of both parties to the relationship

Personally, I think there is someone out there for all of us, and how successful the relationship ultimately is depends on whether or not you’ve found that person.

devotion
respect
honesty
open communication

yeah that's about it, 4 things, although if you only have 3 of them your relationship is going to suck big time. ;)

RESPECT!!! Respect for one another will have a huge positive impact.
That is in my opnion the reason for a lot of problems people have. They don't respect one another.

I don't believe there's a formula. Every person is different, so every relationship will be different.

Basically, I think the only thing you MUST HAVE for a really meaningful relationship is an understanding that there's no formula for a successful relationship :).
