Ugh, that's just stupid. As an astronaut in the space station, would you really want to put yourself in the way of a potentially out-of-control golf ball unless you really had to? I mean I can see how they'd be bored - but whatever happened to magnetic scrabble? :p
Ailor says there are about 300 operational satellites now orbiting at low-Earth altitudes near the space station, which flies about 400 kilometres above Earth. The golf ball could potentially strike one of those satellites as it spirals towards Earth, he says. "But the chance of something like that happening is probably very low."
Oh, well, then it's all good. Probably.

actually.. with these commercial space flight companies maybe Tiger Woods could have a go at it.. The ball is going to be orbiting for four years so this is going to cost thousands of pounds if they intend to monitor it for that ong..
