Well Prime the TV Channel has finally decided to air Stargate Atlantis- well after it was aired in America and it has been out on DVD for over 3 months too but all of that is completly useless because Stargate which had been screened on Channel 2 hasn't been on since about August 2004 maybe even earlier than that.

I can't remembe that far back but it might have been the Rugby World Cup in 2003 when it was last on.

A run down of where we were at...
-Massive Uber Warrior Armies are discovered and cannot be stopped (As yet)
-Kick arse godmode battle in and over Antarctica(I think it was a 2 hour season finale special) with Bugs whopping everythings arse.

Jack gets trapped in Ice and cannot escape.

Season ends...

Great so i know there has been another season (Maybe 2) since then as he dets out and gets promoted and then i saw him on the first episode of the Stargate Atlantis Introduction Miniseries.

But it pisses me off that one station has held the Stargate brand for so long and then stops running it only for another station which incidently i can't get on my TV(:headbang: ) and 2 years of storylines is made irrelevant.

Complete Bullshit people!

So now i cant watch Stargate Atlantis which has been going for 3 weeks now until i buy the last few seasons of Stargate or i could wait 3 more years for the reruns to be aired on Sky.:(

But i don't want to buy just one season of Stargate i want to buy them all and with SGA it would be something like $130 X 10 seasons =alot of money =:eek: .

Then i am not sure if the 2 part miniseries(where they first get the Anchients Chair working) is on the Stargate Atlantis DVD.

I saw the movie once and that wasn't bad. But I really can't stand the TV series. I've only ever liked one episode of Stargate.

The only full season I have seen is atlantis, and thats because Channel 4 insist on broadcasting the origionals on a Sunday afternoon, whereas five put atlantis on on a Friday night :D So I'll have to vote for atlantis.

I have a question for the SG:Atlantis fans out there, what is the show about? I've never seen it. All it looked like to me was a copy of SG1.

When they started introducing amazing ship-to-ship battles, and uber ancient tech it all went massively uphill :)

Atlantis is about an expedition they sent to another galaxy to occupy the lost city of the ancients. It is a copy, but with more ship-to-ship battles >: D

I have seasons 1-8. $130 is nothing when you consider that the X-Files is about $90 a season and Farscape will run you $120 a season.....

Stargate SG-1 is currently in its ninth season, by the way, with a tenth planned.

SG1 has been picked up for a tenth season, and Atlantis for a third season. I quite enjoy both of them, but I've always had a weakness for sci-fi.

I love stargate (sg-1 that is) and have 1-6 on dvd, would have more but considering I dont have a job its a little harder. I watched the first few Atlantis episodes, and on their own they would have been fine, but they just paled in comparison to the original. Well thats what I thought anyway.

Of course, they havn't aired sg-1 for about 3 years here, and atlantis was on at 11.30 on thursday nights for a little while...

Damm channel seven, they do that with all the good shows (Revelations, anyone? I loved that show, it was intellectual) whereas crap like Today Tonight gets prime time all the time.

I've only ever watched Stargate on and off. But I've tended to like it, mainly because even though it's not explicity a comedy it's able to work stuff in. I thought the same of Buffy. But as begin to take themselves more seriously I get less interested. :/

I love both Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1. Its one of my favorite scifi shows of all time. I remember when I used to watch the reruns almost every day when I didn't have a job. :p

Now if you can't get the DVD's or watch the shows where you are located. You should just download them and after you're done watching them just delete them. Thats assuming you have a fast enough connection. I do this when I miss the new episodes whenever I'm working on Friday.

Wasn't that the program where absolutely-fuck-bloody-all happened for six episodes, and then it was all over? It had a nun and some archaelogist in it, I think, and it was about the end of the world. Big let down, IMO

I love Stargate SG-1 and the movie. I love all of them because of the storylines and all that - but Stargate Atlantis isn't that good in my opinion. I don't like it. The storylines seem much weaker than the earlier Stargate SG-1 episodes.

I think it is about to start it's 10th season now...
I used to watch it every time it was on but now that they got the new Col. I really don't like it.
It is like they are trying to replace Jack with a younger brasher version. I really don't like him. And the entire Jack/Sam thing is CRAP. I stopped watching it because of that. I'm an Air Force brat and it is sooooo wrong to me. Plus the personality match was aweful! Both Sam and Jack would go crazy! In the bad way!

Admittedly it moved a little slow, but there was a lot more than six episodes. I reckon you'r network just stopped broadcasting. Or you missed some of em. Anyway, a lot of crap happened towards the end (the anti-christ got born, we saw who we must assume to be the new jesus, all the nuns got slaughtered, that kinda thing) and even when not a lot was happening at the start it was interesting.

I love the earlier Stargate episodes (currently collecting all the seasons on dvd), but once they introduced the ship and lost Jack, I lost interest.

I haven't seen Stargate Atlantis - it looked like a weak spinoff, although I've been told I'd probably quite like it.

Not that long ago here, that was end of season 7 wasnt it? You have to remember that free to air channels in the southern hemisphere suck.

I'll be blunt. Stargate Atlantas is shit house. Once a show changes some of the characters over to new ones, you know its going to flop.

They didn't change the characters unless your talking about Browder replacing Anderson. If you meant Stargate Atlantis then that is not new characters replacing old since it is its own show.

no for a few episodes there was a blond woman who played dr wier and ran the SGC, but she was replaced with the black haired wier that we see on antlatis.
