Firefox pwns hardcore oneoneone

Since getting my new PC a month ago, I have been using Firefox, and only Firefox. And you know what? I can't imagine ever going back to IE6. Firefox is simply a better browser. Better window management, less trouble with pop-ups, and I don't have to worry about a critical security patch every month, figleafing over the fact that you are compromised by the mere fact of running Internet Explorer.

So I was wondering what the IE/Firefox ratio was on this board. Apparently it is 85/15 globally - are we netheads a smarter lot? :)

Firefox, and ditto.
I don't normally bother with this sort of things, but cos I'm online a lot more now, that tabbed browsing thing is a godsend.

I use a Mac, and I still run Firefox--the popup blocker is better than the one with Safari. I've been using Firefox for about 14 months--on my PC before I switched--and I won't use anything else unless I have to.

There's even a plugin for for FF which let's you switch to a IE view, it's called IE tab.

Here's a list of plugins I use with FF:

AdBlock
FlashBlock
Tabbrowser Preferences
NoScript
FasterFox

Damn straight! No way am I going to look at those annoying little ads that keep jolt free:).

However, Tab Mix Plus is, by far, the best extention.

I use a comination of the 2. to me:

Firefox:

plus: convinient, sexy-looking, easy to use, plus it has tabs. those sexy sexy tabs.

cons: viewing flash is a drag, it's kinda slow to load up.

Internet Explorer:

pros: loads faster, great for viewing flash videos. familiarity.

cons: vulnerability to viruses. unsexy interface, no tabs.

In short, IE is better for speed and flash videos, but Firefox has it's plugins and addons that make it better. not to mention the tabs. I love the tabs.

me+tabs =:fluffle:

Im trying it right now for the first time. It seems pretty cool. But I have a question. Is there a good spellcheck plugin for it, and where can I get it?

Also, how to I change my scrollbutton speed? It's going slower than is does in IE.

EDIT - Jolt seems to be loading a bit faster with it. But it might just be Jolt is being crappy at the moment.

I use Maxthon (http://www.maxthon.com/). It is based on Internet Explorer, but I have not had any problems; no viruses, no malrware/sptware etc..., running it.

I have tride FireFox several time and do not like it. I did not like the way the tabbs worked and I found it much easier to use Maxthon (http://www.maxthon.com/).
For me Maxthon (http://www.maxthon.com/) is the best browser hands down.
Don't believe me? Ask the millions that use it.

It really does not matter what browser you use as long as you do not visit porn or warez sites. All that you really need is a good popup bloker.

All it succeeded in was overstretching the last page. And now you've cunningly quoted it, allowing it to spread its suckiness to this page, overstretching it too. I'd appreciate it if you edited your post, since not everybody uses 108342x79088 resolutions. :)

might be because of mis-use of the alt attribute. the alt attribute is for browsers that don't support images, or whenever the image won't load for whatever reason. the title attribute is what is supposed to popup when you hover over something; but most browsers (IE specificaly) uses the alt attribute like the title attribute

I forget how long I've been using Firefox. Perhaps a year now. I saw in someone's screenshot a browser with tabs. I found out it was Firefox and was highly intrigued. I then got the browser, and now I hate Internet Explorer with a passion.

Lately, unfortunately, Firefox isn't liking Flash stuff at all. It refuses to use Flash player and wants to use QuickTime to play it. Which doesn't work. At all. No matter what I do to the QuickTime software, even un- and reinstall it. So when there's some Flash I have to see, I grudgingly open an IE window and look.

If anyone knows what my problem might be, feel free to telegram me.

thats why you shouldn't install there software, you should set up the connection with "internet connection wizard" if you're using XP, and burn there CD's in a ritual. and I use Opera too..... or Firefox sometimes..... and IE to test pages.... though I've decided not to use any "dumbing it down for the slow child" code in my pages....
