has anyone ever done it? as a surprise, my girlfriend bought a harness this past weekend. she decided not to purchase the dildo without consulting me first, however, so i guess we are going to go shopping sometime this week. there are so many choices when it comes to material and size and things like that. im excited but kind of nervous as i have yet to experiment extensively with sex toys and im also nervous because its been a while since ive had sex that included extensive penetration and i have to admit that i dont really have an idea of sizes.

anyone have any advice for a novice?

(we can talk about sex on these boards...right?)

Um... No. But good luck on your quest though. I'm sure there are some forums that welcome and have serious discussions about such matters.

Are you a make or female? Might make a diff on which kind you want to purchase.

Not to the level of detail you are probably wanting to.

However, frank serious discussions about sex in general have been done from time to time. Though rarely.

For the most part, sex is referred to in a fleeting and juvenile way for humor's sake and the entertainment of ourselves. This smilie, for instance, which I thought of when I read your thread: http://www.abestweb.com/smilies/bates.gif

Nevertheless, I hope everything...um.... comes out okay. :)

Not really. This, you see, is NSGeneral, in which you can discuss anything (primarily politics, though). However, since you can talk about anything (but primarily politics), you can't talk about anything specific to any one group (especially if it might heartily offend another group, ie flamebait and t3h sexx0rz).
So, yes, on NS you can talk about everything, but, no, on NS you can't talk about anything. It is very zen, in one sense, and very stupid in another.

Talk about it until the thread gets closed; it may or may not.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand lock.

The fact that it's about "sexxxxxxxxxx" and not that normal stuff called "sex", is a total turn-off for many people. Oh, bad pun.

well then we can turn this into a friendly debate about heteronormativity and homophobia. see, sex and politics are never mutually exclusive.

Silicon supports gay marriage, if that helps.

that kinda thing would actually be okay...but would either degenerate into endless fluffles or raging homophobia.

So yeah, pretty much the norm of NSGen

well then we can turn this into a friendly debate about heteronormativity and homophobia. see, sex and politics are never mutually exclusive.

Homophobia is rooted in ancient cultural taboos (going back to the Jews in the case of the western world) against homosexuality created in order to ensure that everyone would reproduce and thus contributed to the social unit. These taboos were attributed to God finding the act sinful in order to both frighten homosexuals from acting on their urges (which I believe to be natural) so as to not invoke the wrath of God; and it also causes fellow believers to view the act as sinful and thus attempt to prevent it.
