Moral dilemma 7

While walking down a dimly lit urban street when night, a mugger points a gun in your face and demands money. He is a middle aged man with dirty and tattered clothes, and his agitation and nervousness indicate that he has never done anything like this before. You look at the gun and notice the safety is still on. You know a fair amount of martial arts and have your trusty switchblade in your pocket.

Do you give him your wallet?

Disarm him, explain to him the errors of his ways, and help him get back on his feet?

Or do you knock his gun aside and stab him in the throat?

Definitely a combination of options 2 and 3. You want to teach him a lesson, but most of the lesson can be said with little words and a quick slice with the switchblade. Plus, then he goes to prison for attempted robbery, all the while getting a free education, a place to sleep, and 3 decent meals a day. That would almost make me an angel. Mind you a knife toting, criminal aprehending angel.

Take him down and let the police have what was left after I finished (although I would try not to kill him). I don't care who you are: if you intentionally point a gun at someone, you deserve what's coming to you.
