I just posted that Mr. Blue Sky is the "Most hardcore" song ever, but that was just a joke. Afterwords one person gave me a bunch of smilies, and another called me their hero. Is it true that people still listen to this awesome band? How about this:
Older music is better, yay or nay.
Mr Blue Sky was used on a Marks & Spencer TV advertisement a few months back.

I don't think that older music is by definition better, but it does have the advantage of being the first to try something, and less chance therefore of being called a copycat, or tiring people out.
ELO, man. I wish the music store carried more of their stuff. I only have Greatest Hits and Zoom.
Ma-Ma-Ma Belle, baby.
Have you heard the Randy Numan number ("Story Of A Rock & Roll band" on Born Again) mocking them?

The advantage of old music is all the crap stuff has been forgotten over the years. With new stuff the radio insists on playing the crap regardless.

ELO are pretty good. Can't say I'm a regular listener or know much about them, but they have definitely made it onto my coolness radar.

Ive heard a few of their songs. It was just like 'great one, put some Sabbath on'. Dunno about new/old. While alot of my music tastes are quite old, i'll always listen to something new- even if i expect it to be crap.

Cool, I was just listening to Blue Skies on the way home. Also ''Hold on to your Dreams.'' I love their music. I'm finding out as i get older,'' i'm in my early 40's'', there is less and less music that's coming out today that i like so i'm guess i'm biased that way. The best music for me at least in in the past.Sigh! I'm getting old.:(
