Hi all!
I'm just curious about this question: what chore do you hate the most?

I hate manually doing the dishes. I'm 6'4 and the sink is too low. My poor back. O_O

All of them. Equally.

Let me ask you, do you have any chores you actually like?

EDIT: You count cooking as a chore? Ok, then I guess I would change my answer to cooking - that can be fun. (It's the cleaning afterwards that's boring...)

I hate doing the dishes! It seems to take forever..standing there and scrubbing all that crap off of them.

Vaccuming and Sweeping.

I love cooking, I don't mind doing laundry (since I'm very specific about how I do it) and where I grew up nobody used Dishwashers so I'm used to it (wrestling has taken away the bendy pain). Although, I hate vaccuming and sweeping because It's so damned boring.

I guess you have a point..perhaps cooking wasn't the best choice on there..I don't mind cooking.
I like cooking..lol
Can you call that a chore? I mean, you need it to survive..
I'll know better next time..haha

It's my first poll!

manually doing the dishes, I am allergic to dish soap so I break out in hives, I tried to wear gloves for a while, but I still broke out above the glove line, and also it's hard to do dishes when I can't feel them very well. :( I have a dishwasher but I feel bad not running a full load and I don't want to just let the dishes set in there until I get a full load, so I do them by hand, yesterday I did a load of dishes, I still am broke out from it.

cooking is fun, because then you get to eat when you're done. It is also a very refined art.

I actually find manually doing the dishes quite fun, since we never use the dishwasher. I don't know, it's such a dull task that it gives you time to reflect on your day. Also, I love cooking, and I've been doing my own laundry for years now, so i don't mind it that much anymore. I despise vaccumming, mainly because it's so boring and unnecessary. At least the dishes give you variety, whereas vaccumming is just "sweep, sweep, sweep, sweep, don't want to miss a spot."

maybe just have a basin in the sink and if there are just a few plates, leave them soaking untill you have a full load? iirc, there are also some hypoallergenic dish soaps (http://www.colgate.com/app/Palmolive/US/EN/DishwashingLiquids/DrySkin.cvsp)...I have the feeling you may have tried them, but ya never know.

I hate dishes. I love to cook, vaccumming kinda amuses me for a bit...laundry gives me a chance to read, and I like the smell. Dishes are just...blah.

You don't need it to survive. You can get it pre-cooked from other people. It's why God invented McDonald's.

Cleaning mirrors in the bathroom is something I do like. Maybe because I do weird things during it...

I hate doing the laundry. It costs $6 in quarters for two loads and you just have to sit around and read (not that reading is bad, but I have better things to do some days.)

Vacuuming seems really pointless to me and its boring too. If I could, I'd get hardwood just to get out of it.

Em I'm sorry but aren't u missing one vital chore? - The ironing! I hate that so much!

Ironing has to be the worst. Ironing is when I really wish this country didn't have a socialist government. You have a shirt, and you're like half an hour doing the ironing, and what you get is a less wrinkles in a shirt.

Taking care of them is a horrible chore. I would not want chickenss or horses.
Also, this is getting off topic.

I should have you talk to my hubby, I have been pushing for hardwood floors (or cheaper laminate wood-like floors) for years now because of my allergies, I vacuum and vacuum, and then vacuum some more I still feel like they are dirty. I just want something I can sweep, mop, and be done with.

Hi all!
I'm just curious about this question: what chore do you hate the most?

Preparing lesson plans for the social studies classes I teach the following day. It's the most tedious thing in the world. Especially for classes where the kids are more inclined to actually engage in discussion without cookie-cutter fill-in-the-box tasks to keep them busy. Alas, they are mandated.
