Depends on what kind of drinking I'll be doing. Beirut or some other game that involves drinking beer quickly, I go for PBR or Busch Light because they go down easier. If I'm just sitting there drinking at a more leisurely pace, I like something classier. Then again, beer is beer, so I'm not likely to turn anything down.

I voted 'German' 'cos my second favourite beer is Erdinger, closely followed by Fuerstenberg. My all time favourite, though, isn't German but Czech... Staropramen... I cannot get enough of the stuff. I also love a Hoegaarden now and then, though it doesn't seem to be to everyone's tastes. Generally I'm a lager man, but Guinness isn't bad.

I've had all 3 of those German beers when I was in Germany last summer. I drank a lot of beer when I was over there. I've never had Staropramen I must go out and find it. Luckily for me there is an import beer store not too far away which carries all kinds of brands I've yet to try. Slowly but surely I drink them all.;)

It's also called Beer Pong and everyone has some slight variations in rules, but basically it involves trying to throw a ping-pong ball across a table into your opponent's cups of beer. Each time you make a shot, they drink that cup. Whoever has no cups left loses.

It is a fine poll.

It is a bit disappointing to see English beer represented by Boddingtons. There are four great brewing nations in (West to East) England, Belgium, Germany and Czech Republic. England also produces much dull, industrial rubbish, which is how I would classify Boddingtons.

Definitely German beer here! :D
This does *not* include Bavarian beer (Hofbräu, Erdinger Weißbier etc.) which tastes like piss! *barf*

Of the *German* beer, best is Dab, with Krombacher being the runner-up.

I like the common guy type beers. Boddingtons is one of them and so is Guinness if you get right down to it. I'm a big fan of Molson Canadian (the reason why I had that as a choice). There aren't too many beers that I can't stand. Obviously I don't like Budweiser. I will drink Miller, but usually there is either PBR or Yuengling at places that serve it and I'd rather have those. Of course I prefer to drink European beers when available.

Some of the beers I've been trying out lately have been:
Rochefort
Val-Dieu
Melbourn Bros.
Corsendonk
Westmalle
Tripel Karmeliet

I made beer a few months ago, for my birthday. At a microbrewery though, not at home. That was a lot of fun, a great birthday present, and it made a damn good beer!

Otherwise, I like Guiness, Newcastle, Chimay, most marzens. I tend to like the darker beers, and stay away from Corona, Bud, Coors, Miller and the like.

I generally move from one brand to another, although I avoid the mass produced horse piss from the major breweries. My willingness to drink bad beer is based on how hard I have been working, physically. After a long grueling day of physical labour, even a cold beer that tastes like horse piss can really hit the spot. Office work is not hard grueling physical labour.

Right now my favourite beer to relax with is Sleeman’s Honey Brown Ale. It’s very smooth and satisfying.

Well whatever the reason is, I suggest you discard it quickly. That stuff is terrible, and will lead to an odd compusion to wear flat caps, keep pigeons and start amateur whippet racing.

Not to mention it's bad finish, and the horrible hangovers it gives.

There is also a rumor - never substantiated - that the RVI has an entire ward full of people whose brains were destroyed from drinking it.

And if you don't know what the RVI is, you certianly shouldn't be touching the stuff.
