So, it's the gold medal game, and CANADA JUST SMASHED IN with a SIX POINT 6th end! If Canada doesn't win gold with a 10-3 lead, there's a real problem.
Go Canada Go!!!

Yes, but what sport do you think ranks as number one here? (There's soo many to choose from!)

Bowling, which is like curling, but without the idiots falling over when they walk on the ice.

I'm leaning towards golf, but that might be because I refuse to acknowledge that bowling is a sport. ;)

10 to 4 final score! Yay! It was a great match to watch! Such a great team effort! :)

Maybe I enjoy it so much because I've bowled since I was 5, so I can relate to sports that involve finesse and skill like curling.
As for people not falling in bowling... you obviously haven't bowled where I bowl. :P I saw one older lady go FLYING onto the lane a couple weeks ago... had to leave early with a sizable goose egg on her noggin'.
But that's just bad form... she was leaning back on her throw, instead of forward, and when her feet went out from under her, she was airborne.

I take it you missed the streaker in the England-USA match?

What kind of a sad, sad person would get the idea to streak a curlingmatch?

Curling is the second most boring sport know to man.

You know, I've always felt that there's nothing more boring than to watch about twenty grown men speed around after a ball or a puck, and even doing the whole thing on horseback didn't really improve the matter. Watching individuals jump, run, ski, or drive a track in nearly identical manner, competing in fractions of seconds or inches comes close though. The list goes on and on.

Curling is the first sport I've seen, that didn't make me feel like after twenty minutes of watching my brain was gonna seep out through my ears out of sheer boredom.

Silver is one hell of an achievement, but after the last game, I can't help but to feel a bit bitter. The way we practically handed out the victory in the sixth end was humiliating, especially after the kind of games we saw the team play earlier. Of course I'm not saying that Canada didn't deserve their victory. They played an excellent game, and I don't know if we could have bested that even if our team really had given their best effort.

However, I'm still convinced that while other players make mistakes, Uusipaavalniemi just makes tactical decisions. In this case his decision must have been that though he was ready for a gold medal, the people of Finland weren't. That's why he gave us a few more years to get prepared for it. :)
