Hi! As many of you know I now have my own political talk show on the Internet. I do have guests lined up.. but sooner or later I will need new ones. Here is your chance to be heard! I don't care what your political slant is, left, center, right, makes no difference to me.

The requirements to be on my show are as follows..

You will have to have a mic and speakers.

You must have Skype http://www.skype.com

Agree, disagree, there is no fighting on my show. Yelling and freaking out will NOT be tolerated on my show.

You must have some knowledge of current events going on in the world.

You must be dependable enough that I can count on you to do the show and not chicken out.

That is basically it... those are my only rules!

So, if you are interested and have the ability to do audio you could be a guest on my show. It is your chance to be heard! As stated I don't care what end of the political spectrum you're on.. you just have to be able to carry on a civil conversation without getting upset and shouting or yelling or using swear words or insulting me if you disagree. In other words I'm looking for mature people who can carry on a political discussion in a civil manner.

We could certainly bring up that issue... but I get to basically pick the topics..lol And the topics are always based on the week's news. So they are timely.. For example this week the big story is the UAE and the selling of the management on the ports.. etc... I mean, we could bring it up as an issue, because it is an important issue. But I tend to stick to what has been in the news that week. And I don't just discuss one topic. Because more than one important issue usually happens within a week. But yeah, I'd be okay with discussing it with.. but it couldn't be the whole show.

Well then, we could certainly discuss it... perhaps just email me a copy of a news article if you have one on it (or a url).. and I can get up to speed on that story. Because I do agree, it is a very important issue to discuss.

Well, hey, I've been debating politics on this forum for 3 years in April.. it seemed like a logical place to ask. As I know there are some very competent pundits on this site. Not all, but for sure some. And of course this is not my only venue to find guests..lol It is simply one of them.

I think it would only be fishing if I came out of no where and wasn't a long time player and former NS mod here that no one knew.

If I weren't on here, I'd know nothing about what straight people are up to news wise. I only read 365gay.com regularly when it comes to non-European news. I guess if you had a queer theme, I could add some platitudes.

You were the first to come to my mind when Stephistan said she needed guests to come on and debate/discuss issues. being a fellow Canadian, I figured you would be up to speed on common issues that might be subjects and you often seem prepared to discuss them in here with back up, etc...

I felt you would be a natural choice for this possibilty.

Stephistan, if you want someone to bitch about post-secondary education in Canada, I'm your [wo]man. It's definately in the news nowadays (what with the premiers meeting in Otawa), and I've got the pre-recs. Let me know if it's a topic you're interested in!

Well, we could certainly discuss that issue. I do USA, Canadian and world politics on the show. However, as I have stated in the thread... my show is not a one topic show. We discuss usually the news week.. thus the topics are always fresh and timely.. but being a Canadian myself, and that being a timely issue here in Canada (well education is always an issue) I would have no problem with that being part of the discussion.

And just to be clearer, my show isn't really a debate show.. it's not crossfire..lol I tend to like to take the "discussion" approach over the "debate" one. It makes for a much more civil conversation.

I can't wait personally. And as you well know, it's much easier to express the view you're trying to get across verbally than in text. Much nuance is lost in text.

While I doubt we will agree on most issues, I see that as a plus... what fun is it to have guests on all the time that agree with you?

However, like I said.. I like to do my show as more of a discussion than a debate. I believe it is much easier to keep it civil if we go at it like a discussion... my show as stated is not crossfire..lol It's meant as a discussion. Where you will be given as much time to discuss your point as I will mine. Should make for some great radio Corneliu.

Well, as host it is my job to guide you and not leave you hanging... and this is real politics for real people. I don't want "experts" on my show. I want real people. And if at any time I seen you struggling I could simply bring up issues and ask you how you feel about them... I would never leave anyone on my show hanging and looking silly.. that I promise. This show is to have a discussion... it's not to be right or be an expert. It's really all about opinion.. so if you have an opinion about politics... then you're the right person to be on my show. :)

P.S. I do go over pre-production with all my guests.. so you know before the show basically the topics I plan to cover. It's easy. It's also not live.. so if something needs to be edited.. it can be. It's recorded live.. but I usually have a day before I submit my show to BZoO. I'm not just the host, I'm also the producer... so nothing to fear old friend.
