I've recently been butting heads with some members of the LaRouche Youth Movement, and they don't seem to take a straight (though polite) 'no, I don't support LaRouche' properly. Instead of wishing me a nice life and moving on they'll ask me 'why'.

I don't support him because primaraly because I don't find him trustworthy, based on what I've read of him, and additionaly because I don't like the effect he seems to have on his younger supporters. They're almost like zombies. . .

Anyway, I was looking for some other opinions/more info about Lynden LaRouche; so please speak up.

Yes, I know what you mean about his supporters. They've been on my campus for the last few years in the areas of higher student traffic. Usually, they like to proclaim the rampant nazism/satanism/insert-evil-word in our current administration. Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyndon_LaRouche) has done a pretty good job of giving a decent bio on him, and below is his PAC web address. He basically believes in the all-controling Jewish elite governing everything that happens in this world. His effect on people is unsettling to say the least:

Right now, one of my best friends works for the Larouche group fourteen hours a day, six days a week. He dropped out of college, lives with other Larouche supporters, and rarely communicates with the outside world, except for trying to convince people to join the Larouche organization. For him, an economic disaster is just around the corner, and time is so precious that he no longer can have the luxury of regularly being with friends or family for considerable lengths of timeā€”it would be morally wrong for him to spend time on personal concerns.

I haven't heard them actually call anyone in our present administration satan or nazi's outright, but they've made some allusions.

That letter you quoted seems pretty believable; yesterday one of them actually asked me to skip class to come see a LaRouche webcast at their office, and when I told him that I put my education before everything else he told me that they have their own educational programs so I should still cut class for it! That's what motivated me to start this thread.
