No. I think a lot of the sportsmanship that the Olympics were intended to promote have gone out the window.
Between the whining, the excuses, the petty struggles to get on the team, the doping, etc., it's all pretty disappointing.
The only gold medalist I like so far is the German 2-man bobsled team.

The telecast is pretty bad too. I don't care to listen to a bunch of cry babies. I would be more interested in the stories of other atheletes.
Drama seems to be a soap opera these days instead of which of the two champions were going to win.....

It's not just the Americans, y'know. If you watched any other source than NBC, you'd get that point really damn quick. They all whine, because there's no way to be happy when you know you've done better in a less pressured situation.

Times like that I think its time to fold the games. It's become a rich mans sport and it's left what the Barron had intended them to be.....

The Australian figure skating lady said she tanked it. Straight out. Then she almost started crying.
And one of the Australian aerialists pulverised her knee and sounded like a stuck pig. And the other got a world record score...
