Congress Told of ATF Seizures, Threats to Gun Buyers

(CNSNews.com) - Agents of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), allegedly acting without warrants or legislative authority to do so, seized firearms from at least 50 gun show patrons in Virginia according to congressional testimony and an agency document made public Wednesday. Witnesses also testified that African-American and female gun buyers in Richmond, Va., and Pittsburgh, Pa., were profiled based on their race or sex and some in Pittsburgh were threatened with arrest by ATF agents for alleged actions that are not violations of law.

Well you know all those black guys are just buying them for their gangs and all the women are buying guns for their gangster boyfriends. It's just a fact. All blacks are criminals and all women are easily manipulated idiots who fall for criminals.

You are so totally correct, but you have to realize it's not the criminals who are doing the manipulating. It's the guns! They do everything - kill, lie, manipulate, rape, steal, abuse drugs. FACT!

Well at least they're not shooting into burning religious compounds or shooting women holding their babies lately. I guess racism is an improvement over baby killing.

Normally. I feel it shows a bit of hypocrisy in this case as, even though it has to do w/ firearms, it is blatant racial profiling by a Gov't agency which is what these groups are supposed to be opposed to. If it were involving cars, say, you'ld have Jesse Jackson screaming from the rooftops.
Most of them have blatant anti-gun stances though so it shows where thier priorities are. Politics over ethics.

Gold medalist Davis suing Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) -- Olympic gold medal speedskater Shani Davis is one of four plaintiffs suing the city of Chicago and former police superintendent Terry Hillard, claiming they were stopped and searched for illegal weapons because of their skin color.
Davis, Quincy Joyner and Damien Joyner filed a lawsuit on March 24, 2003. A fourth plaintiff, Damane Grier, was added to the lawsuit a few months later. All four are from Chicago and are black.
Harvey Grossman, the director of American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois, said an inordinate number of blacks and Latinos are stopped on the street and searched for illegal weapons, and the organization wants police to document stops.
