Me, I'm looking forward to getting my new glasses.
And I'm looking forward to relaxing on the weekend, as last weekend, my brother and two of his friends were here for a visit, and that was stressy. So, no stress this weekend, just a massive pot of tea, one or two great books and an open fire.
And I'm looking forward to meeting a certain someone in a few weeks from now...

On Friday night my rugby team is playing (Wellington Hurricanes) in Wellington for the first time this season so going to that will be good.
I'm looking forward to Saturday as it's me and my gf's 10month anniversary and spending time with her will be mint.
On Sunday morning, I'll be flying down to Christchurch with the first 11 cricket team to play a traditional three-day fixture vs St Bedes College. It should be a great experience.
Thinking ahead abit, on the 2nd of March is McEvedy shield day. This is when my school (St Pat's Town) goes up against St Pats Stream, Wellington College and Rongotai College in an athletics competition. Another fun day.
So yea, pretty busy weekend coming up.

Most simply, I am looking forward to, but have severe nerves about, my speech therapist appointment on monday. It was supposed to be today, but I am not feeling on top form. This isn't my first speech therapy appt, and it's not the specific reason I'm looking forward to it - but it's the first time I'll be going dressed as a female - and the first time I'll be going on my own, using public transport, and not taking a taxi to the door.

I have done things over the course of my life where I was able to follow through-looking like I was doing what I was supposed to be doing. After a while, it became second nature. I'll add these werent things I was supposed to be doing, so you have an advantage there-you arent doing something wrong.
There is a way to help get your nerves under control-a breathing technique.
I know it exists, but dont know much about it. It might be worth looking into.

Thanks - my nerves are an odd thing. Once I'm actually on my way, I SHOULD be fine, it's just that build up of tension. I'm fairly sure I know the breathing technique... if it's the one designed to stem the amount of adrenaline flowing, or somesuch. It's not overly complex. My only "legitimate" worry is other people. Glasgow does have a bit of a gang culture. That said, my route is surprisingly quiet, despite the fact it heads right through the city centre.

A positive attitude is good. I was only trying to think of ways to make it easier on you, which I'm sure you've already considered many times.
