Damn, that sounds awesome. Sickening sweet I bet, but awesome. Don't suppose you have the recipe?
As for me, cheesecake is in my top ten. As an aside, I've found most women love cheesecake, so if you want to impress learn to make good cheesecake.
Back to the cake list. Chocolate cake is def #1, but it has to be made with real chocolate - very bitter choc at that. Best choc cake recipe I had used 700g of bitter choc, cup of espresso, 6 eggs and a couple of shots of bourbon. That was a damn fine cake. Your arteries hardened just looking at it.
Tiramisu is also a good one - again with real choc, espresso and marscapone cheese.
Sponges are bloody nice, but so difficult to make. So I usually don't.
Not really a cake, but pavlova is in my top ten as well.

apart from being totally incredibly yummy cheesecake combines two of the the most impossibly incredibly yummy words in the english language :D - i just wish a slice of red leicester on top of (stale) golden syrup cake produced the same results cuz thats all ive got:(. carrot cake is also totally incredibly yummy especially the one my flatmate makes to her her sister's recipe - there is nothing better in the world, period :p

I love it too. Especially chocolate or strawberry cheesecake. :) Used to hate it when I was a kid though.
cheese caek is a gift from the gods. Marble Chocolate or just plane with some cherrys and whipped cream and im set.

I LOVE IT!! Cheesecake is one of the best creations ever!! :D I also love cheese and cake!! and penguins obviously... But yes cheesecake is probably the best kind of cake ever!! a nice strawberry one always goes down well, with custard (vanilla), or vanilla ice cream!! :D :D :D

Recipie for the best 'Cheese cake'.
Blueberry Cheesecake
175 g creamy yoghurt
50 ml Advocaat
30 ml Bols Lemon Ice Vodka
1/2 tsp vanilla sugar
Shake with ice in a cocktail shaker.
Put 2 tsp blueberry jelly in the bottom of a cocktail glass.
Strain the drink from the shaker over into the glass over the jelly.
Sprinkle a crushed digestive cracker and som ground lemon peal over the top.
Sorry but I come from the school of tought that one can never have too much drink

I can honestly say the best cheesecake I have ever had was one I made myself. It was a chocolate pumpkin cheesecake, basically a chocolate cheesecake covered in chocolate ganache with a pumpkin cheesecake on top, more chocolate ganache with the outer crust made of deep dark chocolate fudge cookies and pecan pieces. Took three days to make but it was worth every second of it!:D

I'm not big on desserts, but I do love cheese cake. I'm lucky as my wife makes them exceptionally well.
Her plain ones are my favorite, but she has made variations with Frangelica or Amaretto added and Amaretto biscotti crumbled up to make the crust.
that with an espresso is a treat for me.
