Too bad someone couldn't have thought of this a while ago. I can see the sales slogans now:

"The Mosquito: If it's too loud, you're too young!"

Wouldn't have worked on me. Lived under a flight path and next to the train tracks.

You can pretty well tune out anything after that. ;)

bah, most kids these days listen to music loud enough to knock off the top hundred or so herz of hearing anyway.

I thought maybe the repellant would be math problems, or maybe writing an understandable, complete sentence.

Now that would be interesting if there was a forum with mandatory spelling and grammar check enabled for posting. I suspect many teenagers would be too frustrated by the error messages to get a post on the board.

One of my classrooms at school has this high pitched whine that I have to endure for over 2 hours. I could handle noise like it if I'm actually enjoying myself a little.

20,000-100 != 16,000Hz

To say nothing of the fact that exposing employees to 80 dB levels and beyond is soon going to be illegal in the EU...

Well you could just play some classical music. Then you would recieve some sort of reaction along the lines of, "OMG! This music is like gay! Lets go like play xbox and then listen to System of a down and Slipknot! I just don't like want to put up with this gay music."

This would explain alot. Like why I can sometimes here a high-pitched whine from my monitor and why my parents can't here it.

Actually, some shopping centers have started doing just that to discourage teens from loitering out front. I think it's a great idea.

Yes, some teens do like classical, but most of the trouble makers despise it.

Though when I was a teen I rather liked Bing. And no, I'm not THAT old.
