Ok, suppose a catastrophe wiped out the human race, except for a buch of people that would become the nucleus of a new world (cheesy so far, but bear with me). You are one of them, but the only speaker of your language. You notice that the others are slowly but surely creating a new language. Yet, you have the power for one word in your language to make it into the new one (by repeating it, by teaching it, or by sheer good luck).
What would that word be, and why?

Hmmm something like "unabsteigbar", where German shows its full versatility. But I guess something like Schadenfreude or Gestalt or anything which does imply a concept not known in the languages of the survivors will ultimately make it... If it is Rejistanian and not German, I would want the word Kansu to survive (it means something like honour as human being).

I would add the word "the." Just totry and make sure that this new language does not end up giving nouns genders.
