I like the Glock 9mm handgun, as well as the Colt .45 ACP

I like .243 for most close range deer hunting, but use either a 7mm or a 300 Winchester Mag for long range hunting.

I love the Remington 870 for a pump shotgun, and the Remington 1100 for a field shotgun for bird hunting.

Big impressive guns, I like the Desert Eagle .44, you can rapid fire it somewhat and still remain somewhat accurate due to the exhaust jets, though it is friggin heavy.

Brush hunting, I like a little short barrel .44 rifle, works great, and the bullet will not tumble and explode if it hits a twig.

Home defense, I like a sawed off Remington 870 with 8 shot bird load, as it will totally hose a close range target, but will not damage anyone if it goes through drywall.

Varmit gun, I like the .410 shotgun, or 22-250. Light, effective, and easy. (course, I have had occasion to go varmit hunting with a 300 win mag, but that is just silly, as I am sure you would agree, but fun nonetheless)

That gun.

It's has:

1 Flame thrower
1 Ice cube (picture Mr. Freeze from batman style)
1 Net launcher
1 Grenade launcher
300 round machine gun (something like that)
and you can have a setting to make the bullets go back to where you first shot them.

Oh, and don't forget about the little red button at the bottom of the gun.

My favourite firearm is entirely purpose driven.

The Gunsite CCO is probably my Fav "city carry" gun (.45acp)
The NAA Guardian .32acp is perfect for bicycle shorts.
My Ruger SP101 .357 is a great backwoods "hiking/pack" gun.

I like my Ruger Old Army .45 Cap & Ball for pure versatility (esp with the .45LC cylinder option)

The Mossberg 500 series 12ga pump shotgun can also take a .50cal muzzleloader barrel, so it is also hugely versatile.

The Savage ML10 is a muzzleloader that can take magnum smokeless powder loads

The Marlin 1895 Lever gun in .45-70 is probably the perfect gun for 99% of big game hunting anywhere on the planet.

The Freedom Arms .454 Casull is probably the finest hunting handgun made.

I like the M14 (& variants) for a basic MBR.

The rest are just variations on a theme.

My guns are tools. And I'm about as interested in them as tools as I am in screwdrivers. I use them to do stuff. I don't obsess about the tools themselves.

Well, I can only choose from things I've actually shot, which is somewhat limited, so my choices would be subject to change without notice.

An AK-47, automatic. It's a lot of fun to use as a sniper rifle type rifle, and I can hit things very accurately with it, but it's just such an adrenaline rush when it's fully automatic. (No, it wasn't exactly legal.)

A good .44 long-barrel revolver. Type doesn't really matter so much as it has to have a comfortable grip and you can't forget the long barrel.

Glock .45 for sheer stopping power. If someone actually were to break into my house, I'd definitely want one of these (with hollow tip bullets, so they won't go through the walls) on hand.

Yep. To me, an assault rifle needs to be big and fire assault-type ammunition.

So by H&K that would be the G36. But since he obviously preferred something smaller, I thought that the MP7 might fit the profile.

You know, not every tool that I've ever bought had a particular purpose in mind. I was at an estate sale and I couldn't resist an old lie-nielsen plane. It was just too nice to leave. It was nice and you could see a little of it's past in the way it was worn. I feel the same way about some of my guns. The M-1 and the 1903 have some history behind them, too. So I take good care of them in order to preserve the history a little longer.

i got a bunch of guns...
my fave is my .270 with the 6x24x50 illuminated scope.

but as mentioned earlier..they are tools, and i have a mossy 500,with a boatload of barrels and grips, and if i could only own one weapon,it would be the mossy 500 hands down!

the .270 is zeroed at 200 yards, and with high energy or light magnums,i am a bit high at 100 yards, and a bit low at 300 yards, but from zero to 300 yards,i will hit within 2 inches..thats reaching out and touching someone.
but i also have the scope with the aiming dots on the crosshair,so with more practice..i could probably shoot the wings off a gnat at 200 yards.

but if i could only have one..the mossy 500

i also like my sa-93 in 7.62x39...but it is really impractical for anything more then target shooting or shtf stuff.

go 12 gauge(with multible barrels)

First of all, would have picked a different country name if this was gonna be my user name on this forum! :headbang:

Pistol: Always fancied .40cals like the USP 40, Springfield XD-40 and I like the Five seveN pistol quite a bit too.
Sub-Machinegun: P90 (techically a PDW), MAC-10 (spray your bullets and pray, why aim?) ;)
Assault Rifle: AKM, G36, AN-94, AK-74M and M4A1
GPMG: MG-3 and FN MAG/M240
Heavy MG: M2HB "Ma Deuce"
Airborne Cannon: GAU-8 Avenger, GAU-12U Equalizer, GSh-30-6

I intend on buying a WASR-10 GP AK-47 clone (the Romanian build civilian semi-auto production), I heard it's a really great gun for a good price so i'm sold.

Favourite pistol: Original Model CZ-75. This is the best 9mm ever made, no shit. Composed of ultra-hard steel, with tolerances that make space capsules look shoddy.
Unfortunately, they then went and produced the CZ-75M (military) and CZ-75C (civilian). The M model is okay; the C model is utter crap. Only the original rates.

For SMG's, I like the P90. It hits hard, it's accurate, plenty of ammo.

AR's, well, there just aren't very many good ones. G-11, if I could get it (and ammo for it).
