Hmm. Top 15 songs? Blah, too much time and effort to think and sort and whatnot.
However, I'll write down a few of my favourites.
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zep
Fool In The Rain - Led Zep
Guns Of Navarone - The Skatalites
Digital Bath - Deftones
Hurt - Johnny Cash
Never Know - Jack Johnson
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
Certain Shade of Green - Incubus
Pretty much, I like anything. Especially liking Led Zepplin and Jack Johnson at this current time.
Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny -- Lemon Demon
Newborn -- Muse
La Vie en rose -- Edith Piaf
The Vatican Rag -- Tom Lehrer
O Caritas -- Cat Stevens
Heartbeats -- José Gonzales
Judy Is a Tank Girl -- Judy and Mary
LOVEBANG -- Shinohara Tomoé
Colloquium: Dark and Light -- Tim Wiedenkeller
Tonight We Fly -- The Divine Comedy
She Will Be Loved -- Maroon 5
Tribute -- Tenacious D
Rocky Racoon -- The Beatles
Don-Don-Don -- Шура
Было и прошло -- Выход feat. Тату
As for bands, I'd probably kill a man for Muse. Cat Stevens always offers a good time, and if you're looking for moderately crappy 90s music, I'd recommend a large selection of Spice Girls, Hanson, Britney Spears, *NSYNC, and No Doubt. I'm mad for the Beatles too, and old Japanese pop.
One- Metallica
Dreaming- System of a Down
Prison Song- System of a Down
Ghost- Tupac
Dyer's Eve- Metallica
Stairway to Hevean- Led Zepplin
Until the End of Time- Tupac
Iron Man- Black Sabbath
Loose Yourself- Eminem
Revenga- System of a Down
London Calling- The Clash
Thrashard- D.R.I.
Imagine-John Lennon
Pink Floyd- Money
Paint It Black- Rolling Stones[/quote]

yea....that's why some of them had hit #1 for weeks at a time (St. Jimmy, The scientist, Country Grammar, Perfect situation). And anyone that says Green Day, Clocks, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, Avenged Sevenfold, Fall out boy and Linkin park all suck, then i'd guess you're either tone deaf, or 70% retarded.

Just because they are number 1 doesn't mean they are good. I can get a massive list, which includes the songs you listed, were number 1 at one time that are just as bad or worse.
As for the "And anyone that says Green Day, Clocks, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, Avenged Sevenfold, Fall out boy and Linkin park all suck, then i'd guess you're either tone deaf, or 70% retarded" comment, I'm guessing that more than 75% of the world is tone deaf and retarded.

So if a song does not fall into your opinion of "good" then its crap. I kinda think of your opion of good as something like a ganster on the streets of compton bustin' moves to "hit me baby one more time."

Because popularity is always a sign of quality...right?
Here's a tip. Never expect everyone to agree with your music taste. And don't attack those that don't. Music is a subjective thing.

I didn't say if it wasn't what I liked that it was crap. The bands you mentioned care more about money and their image than the actual music they make. You don't even have to be able to play more than 5 chords today to be number 1 on the charts.

I much prefer Everything Must Change, If I am honest I tend to think of Baltimore as Nina does Bob Marley....BUT that said, I read somewhere that she was not happy with the album itself as she apparently had no say on the content....Nina ALWAYS rocks however.

Firstly, the song was called 'Jesus of Suburbia' and if that wasn't the biggest emo bitch crap song of the year then I don't know the difference between left and right.
Green Day had potential when they first started to be a real band, but now they've forsaken that and followed the path of the trend whore. Every new song that guy wears more eye liner, more black and undoubtedly cuts himself more.
I have nothing good to say about Weezer, Clocks or Fall Out Boy.
Franz are interesting, I don't particularly like them but they don't have a bad sound.
And Linkin Park was just a trend, give 'em another few years and no one will know who they are.

Misfits - "Dig Up Her Bones"
The best song by The Misfits. I sing it all the time, including the howl at the start.

My favourite Dead Kennedys song is either Holiday In Cambodia or California Uber Alles.

Thanks, I assume you like it as well then, good to see another Billy Joel fan in this day and age.
Yep, even though no single song made it into my list. But overall, he's one of my favorites (except the dreadful River of Dreams stuff). Which is why I'm a bit disconcerted that I either don't know or have forgotten about "The Great Wall of China"... I mean, the Billy Joel love probably makes us old, but not that old, right?*takes anti-Alzheimers pills*
I'm going to have to do these in no order, I think.
Radiohead - Kid A
Biffy Clyro - Liberate the Illiterate / A Mong Among Mingers
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Biffy Clyro - Diary Of Always
Sigur Rós - Með Blóðnasir
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Gomez - Rhythm & Blues Alibi
Oceansize - Catalyst
Arlo Gurthrie - Alice's Restaurant
The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist
Broken Social Scene - 7/4 (Shoreline)
Radiohead - Idioteque
Nirvana - Breed
Queens of the Stoneage - The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret
That could have been 10 times longer, and every one of thw 150 would have been favourites.

I'm actually only 14, which makes me the odd ball of my high school when it comes to music. :p
Oh and "The Great Wall of China" was on the River of Dreams album, so it was only back in '93. It is actually a very good song, contrary to most of the other songs on there. "The River of Dreams" itself reminds me of The Lion King *shutters*

Heh, yeah, that was about my age when I got into his music as well. And yeah, it was kind of weird, esp. b/c I was really into his old stuff. Storm Front was okay, too.

Meh. I don't normally fixate on one song, because I have to depend on "streaming radio" (pandora or launchcast) services to get most of the music I want to hear, because I don't have the cash to buy albums. I'll throw something together and hope i agree with it in a month or two:

Minor Threat - Cashing In
Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia
NoFX - Idiots Have Taken Over
Bad Religion - Suffer
The Clash - Revolution Rock
