This one probably has nothing to do with Islam, to be fair.

Hush now. Just like Fred Phelps is a representative of Christianity, this is a representative of Islam.

I don't know why suicide bombers think that this works when was the last time they made any success by using this tactic? especially on civilians.
I think terrorists across the world should seek to solve there problems though peaceful methods or at least attacks on targets that are actually guilty of something other than living in the wrong part of the world at the wrong time I mean how hard is it too form a mass protests and tell Mr Wrong what you think of [insert objective here]
EDIT: I do not now why your pinning this on Islam the IRA has caused us Brits trouble for years with American funding and support under slogans like “a dollar to kill a limey bustard” so really it would be far more reasonable (and plausible) to blame terrorism on America than a peaceful religion who must face the blame of people who feel they need to do something

Yes, because they represent an entire religion...
I'd issue a "Freedom and Democracy" (note how that rhymes with Hypocrisy) alert but I think we're 30,000 dead Iraqis and two attempted coups in Venezuela past that stage now.....

Perhaps the British should get out of Ireland and that wouldn't happen to them? As an American of Irish descent (protestant) I am all for the IRA and its campaign to rid NI of British occupation. I don't agree with the tactics used, wish they'd stick to taking out soldiers and other military targets without the civilian casualties though.

Note on the side: The group that commits the most suicide bombings in history (although I would imagine that Muslim extremists are fast catching up) is the Tamil Tigers.
Atheist Marxists. Maybe with a touch of Buddhist culture.

As a single group, the LTTE has a good lead over other terrorist groups. But not if you consider something like the United Jihad Council which is a umbrella group of some 20 odd jihadi groups (anti-Indian, anti-Shia, anti-US etc) headed by AQ.
The LTTE consists of mostly hindus (some religious, some atheist, some in between, it is difficult to generalise any hindu community) but there are a good number of Christians in their ranks (for ex, Anton Balasingham, their spokesman is a Christian).
Sinhalese (the ethnicity that is in conflict with the tamil ethnicity) are majority Buddhists.

I think you are missjudging "success". From the article posted it seems at first glance the goal of many of those attacks was to cause civil war among sects of Iraqis. The targets only have to be guilty of being able to be incited into a war. This applies to pretty much all human beings so atacking civilians doesn't hurt the cause and probably cause anger to mount quicker (thus a better tactic). The idiot thread starter of course thinks religion is behind everything in Iraq. The civilian shot dead sounds like a failed kidnapping, pretty common monetary business in Iraq.

Hehe. This made me chuckle. I think our stats are worse for that.. But still, when put like that, funny.
