i was watching the history channel, and it was talking about a microchip they are working on that they put inside your retna and will allow you to see images through that chip, (originally intended to help the blind see again), do you think this can catch on, in 20 years will people be able to watch tv in their head?

this can go even further where they are also using brain activity to be able to control a computer (originally intended to help disabled people move again). do you think this tech will catch on? at the moment it does require some operations.

i think it is very possible that within the next 2 decades (if the end of the world doesnt come before it, but thats a different story) there can be an end to console gaming and an introduction to "brain"(?) gaming

will post an article if i find one, if you have one go ahead and post it.

It's just a matter of time.

Soon, rich technogeeks will have their skulls etched out(and reinforced with carbon fiber) and electronics installed into the side of their cranium. With today's miniaturization, you could easily have a cellphone in your head. We're not all that far from full-blown head computers.

Shadowrun, anyone? :)

I find it scary but microwaves were also extremely scary when first introduced and so were goths.

dont you think it will insane multitasking. talking to your girlfriend, and she goes on a rant, just start playing some Americas Army. or sitting in a lecture board out of your mind, just start watching tv.

math classes will probably just be a breeze if you can use great math software in you own head

I personally cant see myself playing a FPS like battlefield 2 with a chip in my eye... but i can see it is a simulator like i have a kit and a gun and the ammo clips and like a treadmill under me that moves in all direction and it is awesome in my head right now *droools*

that would be awsome and solve the obesity problem, or what if, while your playing you dont really have to move, but your muscles flex, and such and you get really strong from playing a game, NERDS would truely rule the world then.;)
