Dude, if you're gonna make Mac 'n' Cheese, make it with real cheese. It beats the hell out of Velveeta, and there are ways to make it creamy like that (milk + heavy cream + whatever cheese you're using).

Anyway, it's hard to choose... I like a lot of foods equally, really.

You need to eat some real New York and/or Chicago style pizza, not the shit from pizza chains.

I love Heinz Beans on white toast....

Also a chicken dish I make goes down pretty well with everyone in the family and, apart from a nice roast chicken dinner with all the usual stuff, it seems to be the whole families favorite.

Chicken breast diced, button mushrooms, put in a casserol with lots of double cream (enough to cover it) and then dark french mustard (about two whole jars) stirred in, until it looks like milky coffee...then put into a pre heated oven (about 190) until it is cooked right through, served with maybe peas, brocolli, carrots and cauliflower and of course mashed potato (I mash mine with some double cream and then pop it in the oven to give a crispy lightly browned top) yumm yummm and hungry just typing this....

Brick oven, thin crust, and what I assume is olives and anchovies? That's exactly what New York style pizza is.

EDIT: This approaches Italian pizza.

This is New York Pizza.

I guarantee that their pizza wasn't at all representative of the New York style. You really have to get it from New York (or a really good independent "cloner") to see what I mean --- same goes for Chicago.

I just can't stand those 'Real American Pizza!' things.

It's 'really American pizza' in correct grammar anyway.

Yeah, that'd suck to have places like that, what with the false advertising.

I'm getting radioactive by that advertisment that's played in the Nederlands. 'We all love mommy!' 'Real American pizza!', does that really help to sell pizzas in the states? Those bright colours, that faked world?

Nah, it wouldn't help any over here. Just a simple "xxxxx's Pizza" would do fine, so long as the food's good.

Signs like what you described would actually kill business.

Take it from some one from new york and now in the south, pizza sucks in the south. the only place that i have found is a diner that is "New York Style" in the name of the diner. new york has the best that i have seen, but my dad said chicago is just as good.

Bit off topic but it reminds me of that baby food advertisment that was placed in Iran consisting of three images, from left to right, a crying baby, the babyfood, a laughing baby. They were so stupid to forget that people read from right to left in Iran.

And that reminds me about tins of babyfood that just weren't selling in Africa. The makers forgot that illiteracy rates in Africa is pretty high, so most people will buy a tin of food by what they see on the label.
i.e.
A label that has beans on it - beans inside (but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world)
A label that has a pig on it - pork inside (or spam spam spam spam spam spam)
Thus, a label with a baby on it - ...

New England Clam Chowder. none of this canned shit. I mean the real stuff. Serve it up before lobster and a real new england clam bake, and I will have sex with you.

By the way, if it says "real American" in the title, they're lying. Same as over here, places that say "real Italian" are lying. New York style pizza is usually sold at a place called ____'s pizza. We have Napoli's, which actually ties every place I've eaten from in New York. When I was in Europe, I had a craving for New York pizza...got it from a place that said "authentic American New York Pizza". Absolute shit. I would have rather have had dominos or pizza hut

Indian. Specifically, Lamb Tikka Chilli Masala.

I also love some Chinese dishes (curries, duck dishes, satay etc), (American-style) pizzas, topped with jalapenos and pepperoni, Turkish-style donner kebabs, well done steaks covered with peppered sauce. I also like Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Mongalian foods, though have only tried one or two dishes as yet from each of them.
