My visitor tonight

Well tonight I took in an orange tabby. She was standing outside in the cold so I took her in and gave her some milk. She rubbed my legs and was purring. She really responded to being petted and stratched Of course being in a dorm I couldn't keep her for long, so after she got her milk I put her back out. However I went out to go to the Student Center, she was still there. She started following me lol. She would play with dry leafs and other stuff that was on the ground. She followed me until a woman came along and started following her. It felt good, but it also made me realize how much I missed my own cat. Yes, the libertarian conservative that you all love has a soft spot for cats. I'm a big cat lover. Anyways, I'll be uploading a picture of her soon. Just wanted to share this heart warming story.

And cats get to score yet again on getting a human to take care of them by just looking cute and nothing else.

Not that I can complain, I miss my cats as well.

Awww... she looks so very much like one of my cats. I call him my "golden boy" except in this case, due to his coloring and temprament, it's purely a compliment.

Now if only I could get him to stop pouncing on my toes...

I did the same thing except the cat was a tiger, and I no longer have any legs, and the cat is dead.

I love friendly cats. There's one near me that will come up and see you when ever you go past. I've no idea who she actually belongs to, but she seems to get along with everyone.

Incidentally, I was always told you shouldn't give cats milk as many of them are lactose intolerant. Did the person who told me this just make it up, or does it depend on the cat in question?

nice story too... shame you couldn't have kept her :(
(miss my cat too)

though i have a similar story from when i was in uni halls... some mangy flea-ridden cat of doom managed to run in the door of my bulding before i noticed and i spent the next 5 minutes trying to coax it down as it kept running up the stairs away from me (and everyone else).
it wasn't a nice cat, and usually i love them... but this one i just wanted out my building before it spread some kind of disease :headbang:

Cats suck. Dumb, shallow and selfish.

Hope it provides a tasty treat for a noble animal, like a dog. Now there's a pet you can rely on.

so don't keep the cat, just bring her in, feed her, Bathe her (if possible), then let her out. if anyone offical asks, just say you alway like to play with a little pussy before bed.

One apartment complex I lived in didn't allow pets. so when a cat wandered in, everyone took care of him. feeding, medical treatments... all were shared with the renters. yet, no one "owned" him. someone did by a coller but only had the street name on it. no building number much less, apartment. He wandered through out the floors and visited everyone. :D

That's why we keep our pet outside (unless there's some cyclone around), but then we have an outdoorsy dog.

What an adorable furlady. Most orange cats are male- females are uncommon. Thanks for taking her in for a bit!

My sister loved cats

She's brought home a bunch of them.

One time she brought home a Gerbal in a box with an open top. Seems the cat got to eat well that day.

We ones had a grey cat that would come visit us at the trailor. That cat would visit be fed and petted than it would leave and repeat the process untill my older sister brought in another cat the grey one never came back.

My sister gave a kitten an adult does a deworming pill. Poor thing :(

Missy the cat that made the wonderful grey cat go away had kittens and we could touch them from day one. As cats usually do this cat had 4 kittens none of them looked alike.

A had a friend near Albany NY who lived in a house full of cats. Some 5 of them there was.

My grandmother had a cat. Three days after she died her cat did too.

As to dogs.

I was walking about one day and a dog signaled me to follow him. She lead me to her den of puppies.

My sister rescued a puppy that got trapped underneath an abandoned builing with the help of her friends.

Cat's where also killed as if they where familiars to witches. I don't think they will forget that either.

I had to look after two cats for a few months, and one of them managed to get my pet gerbil out of it's cage and began chasing it around the house, tormenting it. At one point it even managed to grab the poor thing around the neck with it's teeth.

Luckily I came to the rescue in time and gave the stupid moggy a good kick, so it dropped him. Just one more reason to dislike cats in my book.

LOL! Hema and Roid lol.

I took her in again this morning, mainly because we were having some winter weather. This time I went to the local food store, brought some goat milk and some cat food for her. Me thinkth I will be seeing her again soon. Damn her though, all she has to do is look at me with those big hazel eyes, and let out a soft meow and I am butter. :)
