I'd have no problems with that as long as I'm on love with one. Of course my human brainchemistry permits me to fall in love with an alien that looks like a larva of the species my neighbour is from but. I wouldn't mind a long term relationship with an alien like this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/scrg/Lekkerding.jpg) Given that it's intelligent and friendly and I can communicate with it well.

Knowing human nature, parents would tell their kids it's wrong to love anything other than humans, thus bringing about more political debates and social taboos.
Would I? Probably not... only because I would fear my child may not grow up to be a healthy organism.
