Firstly, I would like to apologise for my posts regarding the cartoon protests recently, I allowed emotion and vitriol to surpass my rationale, and any offence caused was, for the most part, inadvertant. My sincere apologies to all concerned.

Secondly, and more pertinently, am I the only poster to have noticed the utter paucity of threads not pertaining to Islam recently. Granted, NS general discusses contemporary issues, and is prudent to do so, however do people have so little imagination or contemporary knowledge that they are limited to "big" news?

Finally, why post on a literary, debating forum, if you converse in 1337 (ironic I am aware) or are inept at spelling and grammar? Incidentally, no, I am not berating Ritlina, whose discourse, beyond the damnably awful typing, was actually passable.

The forum is very topical. For instance, during the 2004 election, you could find a thread about Islam if you tried, but Kerry and Bush each had infinity billion threads dedicated to them. Lately, due mostly to these cartoons and the reaction to them, Islam has been in the limelight.
