Batman vs. Al Qaeda

Frank Miller, the guy who made the movie Sin City (which I thought sucked), is working on a Batman graphic novel in which the caped crusader will take on Bin Laden. Weird.

What? Not that I disapprove of using superheroes to go and take out real-life bad guys in comic books, it's a comic, after all... but why not go after a DANGEROUS villain, like Kim Jong-il. Hell, he'd probably have some neat superpowers too. Not to mention his secret layer would be better than... a cave.

Going after Al-qaeda just seems like a waste of batmans time.

Actually Robert Rodriguez made the movie, based on the comic by Frank Miller.

And then after defeating Bin Laden batman can return home to the transvestite robin who he will stroke and fondle for the next 1h29mins. Batwoman will be watchning through a faux mirror, and we hear here graons of pleasure as the credits roll.

Sounds just like Beauty and the Beast.

Jesus, that's just insane. That's the craziest, stupidist thing I've heard today and I've heard a lot. How can someone even think like that at all? I mean, anyone with any taste knows Sin City rules.

Kim Jong-Il does have superpowers! Or am I the only one that reads N Korea newspapers (in English).

The comic has good artwork, but the story isn't that good. The movie was ok IMO.

If you're interested in Miller's other works, I'd suggest "The Dark Knight Returns", which is very good.

The movie is great, although a little too episodic. i would have liked the stories to tie together better. But patriotism? what the fuck has that got to do with liking a film? I like Das Boot even though im english. and Braveheart. and sexual orientation? I recall at least one attractive lady with no clothes on in that film.

anyway I was initially against the batman vs al qaeda thing, but thinking about it they are like supervillains. they are evil for no reason. they want to take over/destroy the world. they are part of the status quo, rather than serial killers and the like who upset things for a short time. in other words they are exactly the types that batman fights. it could go on indefinitely, which is what superhero stories are alla about. if someone wins what the hell do you write about?

It might work if they went back to the sociopathic proto-Batman who claimed to be a "detective", sported various handguns, and always managed to rack up an impressive body count by the end of the stroy. Of course, that would probably amount to heresy as far anyone who really cares is concerned, so, megh.
This story has done nothing to dull my desire for a bat-drinking water dispenser or bat-pontoons, though.

Dude, forget Batman in this, Chuck Norris can pwn B.L. Think about it. Chuck Norris created the universe.

-In the beginning there was nothing, then Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked that nothing in the face and said "Get a job". That is the story of the universe.
