I have my post count set at 40 per page - it just seems easier and cleaner than threads with 500 pages.
What do you have yours set at and why? (bandwidth/56k/what?)

I have it set to 40 as well, because that is the closest to the default on the old forums.

Profiles Tab, Options, scroll down a bit to Thread Display Options, change away. ;)
I've set it to 10 to keep down data transfer when I see if a thread has interesing new messages - there's no point displaying dozens of messages that I've already read.

I prefer 40 because it keeps page numbers down. A thread could be on page 5 for me, but it would on page "...<last page>" were I at 10 per.
I like to read an entire thread before posting and if I see <1,2,...<last>>, and I click "last", then I could be missing dozens of posts.
Unfortunately, many people around here don't like to read an entire thread before posting. That's why we get this:
OP: What color are your eyes?
A: Blue
B: Green
C: Blue
D: Brown
E: Brown
F: What color are B's eyes?
