Best valentine's day ever, imo.

I wasn't expecting anything, as we'd only been out three times, and he had a lot of work to do this week, but he called me up and invited me out for coffee and dessert and he gave me some chocolates :D

I think I'll be smiling for a week.

sorry. I'm bitter.

although, today wasn't bad. I even got a chance to eat! (I have 6 hours straight through of classes today, but they were selling bagles in one of the buildings)

but anyway. congrats on having a good day. I'm happy for you. really. I swear.;) :fluffle:

Oooh, I was starting to get the impression from phone calls tonight that I'd been the only person in the civilized world who enjoyed the day. Glad to know you had a good one, Dakini.

Wanna know the crowning glory of our V-Day? No? Well then don't read any further. My boyfriend and I got a new bed. WOO! It was getting really cramped to share the twin he had in his bedroom. Best yet, the headboard/footboard matches my antique dresser almost exactly. Well, that and he also got me a vintage Beatles concert t-shirt, made me a mix CD, and made dinner for us to enjoy on the hill at sunset.......

The rest of my life is completely invalidated if I don't have this guy to share it with. Today made me realize that all over again :D

that's ... beautiful...
*sigh*

at least with all that you're making up for my non-Valentine's day, so the amount of positive feelings caused on that day evens out on a worldwide scale. ;)

I don't like Valentines Day one bit. However, I did actually have a really good day lol. I saw my gf before school. She got me chocolates, some lollies and a magazine (lil' joke thing from last V-Day).
My school had athletics day so after we'd said bye I caught a bus to the athletics track. I entered in most events and really suprised myself.. I'd done hardly any work but I guess I still had a little left in me from the training I did about 2-3 months ago. Then after that was all done I was really tired but I had cricket practise.. So I drove there and we had a fun time.
So yea, my Valentines day was pretty good.. However, mostly because of non-Valentines day activites :)

simultaneous *sigh* and *sob*
the guy i thought might turn out to be my first real boyfriend hasn't spoken to me since before christmas - ignoring phone calls, messages...no explanation given...
sure, we only went out three times, so nothing too serious or anything
but it meant a lot to me at the time.
valentines day only serves as a reminder of this....

edit: i probably should be posting in the valentines rejects thread. sorry

I had a wonderful Valentines Day, I got some very nice sexy underwear, a CD and DVD of songs that I like with the music videos, a cute teddy that has its heart in its sleeve and we went out for a meal at the local Thai restaurant, then when we came home we ate strawberries from a heart shaped box dipped in pink champagne by candlelight....ahhhhh....

My friend had a great Valentines day too....her husband got her a bright red convertable sport car with personal plates, all fantastic except her intitials are BJ......hmmmmm...LMAO

Glad to hear it,Dakini, PM and Simonist-and whomever else enjoyed their Valentine's Day yesterday. Positive threads and shared good experiences are refreshing in here.

My wife and I had a good Valentine's day as well. I buy her flowers often, so I dont spend the $75.00 or more on roses on this day. I bought her a CD she wanted, some Lindor dark chocolate truffles and a card from the kids and then we all went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants-And didnt have to wait to be seated. The kids were happy and extremely well behaved-so much so, that other people commented for whatever reason. It was a fancy Italian place I go to often, not exactly a family/kids place.
The rest of the evening went very well too.

Simonist']....made me a mix CD ...

There used to be a gift that ruled all others on valentines day, the mixed tape. "side one: love songs, side two: slow jams, It was art." Now that the tape is on the brink of extintion I'm glad too see someone still dosn't think it is a bad idea. My Valentine's wasn't too great but we celebrated our anniversary on the 12th, and we stayed up late watching 51st date and drinking love potions.

*Sigh* ANother Valentines goes by and, by al the damnable luck in the world, I've forgotten to get myself a girlfriend again. Which is bizzare as I remembered only in December.

But enough of that, I've been doing my best not to wallow in despair and self-pity (goodness knows a month or two of it is enough). Congrats to all you who had good V-days, I hope the happiness lasts :)

Am I the only one who didn't do anything special on commercialized scam day? Meh. All I did was watch a movie with my girlfriend. Nothing too exciting.

Oooooh! Ooooooh! *Raises hand like desperate six year old* Me! Me! I did nothing! Meeeeee!

Well, technically I did do something - I went and had my induction at Waitrose to start working there. If, however, you mean do anything as do anything Valentiney then no, I did nothing.

But then, my vote probably doesn't count in this matter lol.
