if i remeber correctly O is the universal recipiant and AB is the universal doner....might be the other way arround

O- is the universal donor. AB+ is the universal recipient.

You can logic your way to this solution if you forget by just realising that A and B and + are antigens which, if introduced into the bloodstream of someone with those antibodies, will be killed by said antibodies.

Incidentally, I am an O-, but have never given blood. Is that bad of me? It always makes me feel slightly guilty, because the blood banks are always in need of my blood type because it can be given to emergency victims when they don't know their blood type.

I'm O-, and the last time I gave blood they tried to schedule me for my next donation.

None of us can donate blood :(

My Blood is O-, Code N. The Code N refers to neo- natal. I have not been exposed yet to the cyto-megalo cold virus, and because of that, my blood is the most easily assimilated by those afflicted by the blue-baby syndrome and other related problems. As a result Canadian Blood Services treat me very well:) I am just one donation short of my 100th. I consider it ironic that when i started giving blood it wasn't out of any altruistic motive, it was for the cookies and juice, i was poor back then and never turned down a chance for free food, ;) still don't.
