Alright, I have no idea who else is from the Boston area, and iirc, I'm the only one from one of the four schools involved (BU, BC, Harvard, and Northeastern), but what the hell, eh?
for those who don't know the Beanpot is a tournement between the 4 major hockey schools of Boston...huge bragging rights at stake.
Harvard and Northeastern lost the first round, BU and BC are playing now...3-2 BU :)
Anyone else watch/watching? Who were you going for? enjoy the games? Well played, or shitty playing?

I have to root for BU.
It's always good hockey, but you feel bad for Harvard and Northeastern because you know neither of them are going to win even before it starts.

My sister is at NEU...she had tickets, but refused to sell them to me despite that she wasn't going. Said it was a punishment. For my team not sucking:confused:

My brother goes to BU, and I figure that BC still has basketball and football that they can cheer for. BU has neither. Hockey is all you poor fools have.

I am not sure. He started in the fall of 2003, but he got pulled out to go to Iraq in the fall of 2004 and he's getting pulled out again this semester. I know he finished his freshman year; beyond that I have no idea where he is.

ahh...so pretty slim chance that I would know him (actually, it is pretty pointless to ever ask, seeing as theres some 16,000 people here...)
but hey, atleast Pete (MacArthur...the guy who won MVP) did good tonight.

either way, good taste (something tells me that we are the only ones from Boston...which is what I figured. Granted, I assumed I would be the only one on this thread)

Sadly, I think this is one of those "gotta be from the boston area" instead of just having to be a new englander. None of my friends from home have any idea what I'm talking about, and I'm only an hour and a half away.
you're from outside boston right? For some reason I thought you were a bit south of the city...

Definatly nice being in the city itself, although sometimes I do miss small town life.

I'll be up in Allston (one of those streets that joins Brighton and Comm) next year...so even that is less "in the city" than I am now.

Yeah. I used to visit my brother at his dorm, which is right off of Storrow. It's different, for sure.

Yeah...looks like he was a Bay State brownstone...hell of alot better than Towers or Warren, where I lived this year and last year.
An apartment will be damn nice, but I'll miss having a nice easy walk to Newbury and the Pru.

When was the last time Harvard or Northeastern had any sort of impact in this tournament? Seriously, they get pounced on every year for what seems like an eternity.
