Well I just did my first piece of proper graffiti, well, its a stencil of a flaming heart, which I did for my girlfriend for valentines day... Just had to share it with someone, cos nobody I know is online...
It wo't let me upload the picture, because its a douchbag... and I can't be bothered hosting it someplace...

So yeh.

Thats all

I thought so... just have to wait and see what her reaction is...

all the pieces are on the route we walk from the train to my house after college

Congratulations! You're a vandal who can't possibly be bothered to think of anyone else but themself in order to make a lame point! Now someone else, who knows how to be responsible and not destroy or deface others' property will be forced to come out and clean up the damage you've done!

What an asshole.

And then to come into General and brag about committing a crime, well, that's just peachy.

And you don't even have the excuse of being a high school reprobate.

Erm...
a) its not for my benefit.

b) i didn't do any on private property...

c)... which means somebody will get paid to clean it, if the council is so inclined...

d) it was all done on blank walls that are unattractive to look at.

e) erm, isn't that what general is for, to talk about things... there are no rules against admitting to a crime (see the thread entitled "What illegal things have you done?")...

f) there is a rule about flaming...

g) No I'm not a high school reprobate, neither am I a reprobate, I'm just a young guy trying to be romantic, whilst making drab walls look nicer.

Point proved

There's a rule about flaming, but there are LAWS against vandalism. You're assuming that whatever you've defaced the blank wall with is somehow artistic or even better than the blank. The point is, THE WALLS DO NOT BELONG TO YOU. You were not asked to paint anything on them, hence you're a vandal. It's no small step from thinking that a blank wall needs your touch to any other crime -- it's all about consideration, and you've shown none. Thing is, your paramour will probably get all mushy and think it's terribly rebellious of you. So well done there. You're still a criminal and beneath contempt.

Some Graffiti is pretty good. Banksy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banksy) is quite cool.

That's a good piece of work, but it's on a wall that doesn't belong to him. I've got nothing against the art at all. A lot of it is imaginative and some have an actual message. My only beef is that unless the artist has asked permission, it's disrespectful, destructive and encourages further tags and sprays which will cost time and money to remove. Time and money that could be better spent elsewhere.

My apologies, Peechland. I was going to use "spiffy", but the plosive "P" of "peachy" suited my irritation better. Feel free to use the adjective "intangible" in retaliation, free of charge. :D

No, Banksy (http://www.banksy.co.uk) is very cool!

Also I pay taxes and live in the borough, so therefore they are my walls.

If they are cleaned, they will probably be cleaned by people serving community service sentences...

So?

If it's done on public property then his rates and taxes pay for it to be removed.

No, not just HIS rates and taxes, and that's the bleeding point. It's a selfish and inconsiderate act.

Nope, sorry, the role of post-Friends Bing is mine. I also bear a fractional resemblance. Could I BE any Bingier?

I don't believe it is. He pays the taxes, so it's his money that's being used.

Same with smokers; they have every entitlement to NHS care because they've paid for it through taxes. It's the same deal.

And anyway, graffiti generally livens places up.
